BLURB
Despite growing up in rival towns, Grady Rock and I were high school best friends.
But now?
Now, he’s my biggest enemy. My dirty-talking, master-baking, grudge-holding, hot-as-sin enemy.
All I wanted was to help my mom run her bakery after a family emergency left her unable to do it herself.
Never mind that I can’t bake. Or that I never wanted to move home again. Or that this is the hardest thing I’ve ever done and I could use a friend right now.
All Grady freaking Rock cares about now is that I’m his competition.
It’s town against town. Bakery against bakery. Old friend against old friend.
Until Grady finds out why I’m back home.
And suddenly, Mr. Get Out of My Way is more like the boy I knew in high school. But older. Wiser. And infinitely more irresistible.
I resisted his charm in high school for the sake of my future. But if I give in to it now, am I sleeping with the enemy?

Dirty Talking Rival is a deliciously fun friends-to-enemies-to-lovers romantic comedy featuring a smooth-talking baker, the one who got away, and a goat with more matchmaking tendencies than a nosy old grandpa. It stands alone with no cheating or cliffhangers.

MY REVIEW

Grady's never gotten over his former best friend Annika. And now she's back in her small town, just a short distance from him, AND opening up a competing bakery. Why did she have to come back? The woman who still has her heart (and his contempt)?

Annika has a good reason for being back here, opening a bakery. If Grady would just stop hating her (the feeling is mutual!) long enough to see that, perhaps they could regain their former friendship, or even more...these two rivals could have it all if they'd get out of their own ways.

Fun, flirty and filled with adorable characters, of the human kind and the furry kind, I love this friends to enemies to lovers rom-com. The spice is as delicious as Grady's muffins and Annika's duh nuts, the snark and sass are witty and funny, and there's a strong emotional connection that bonds everyone.

Review: One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti

Review of One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti ONE LITTLE LIE Hollis is a good girl with a crush on a broody musician. Unfortunately, that boy, Adam, hates her. Why? Because the chip on his shoulder leaves him thinking good girl, rich girl Hollis is a lemming like everyone else in their small town. Which makes it even more unfortunate when years after their high school encounter, Hollis' best friend tries to stick up for her and ends up telling her parents that Adam is the the boyfriend Hollis doesn't actually have. Oops. How will Hollis ever convince Adam to go along with her little lie? I really liked One Little Lie. Hollis is a really naive girl, but she has such a huge heart that I couldn't help but fall in love with her spirit. She's so sweet, so compassionate, the kind of person this world needs more of. Adam, on the other hand, eh, he didn't do much for me. His chip on the shoulder, broody asshole attitude did nothing to endear me to him, but because H...
