Unbreak My Heart by Jennifer Probst is now live!
The food critic...
Miranda Storme once gave her body and soul to Gavin Luciano, but he took her love and walked away without a word. Now he's back. He may look even sexier than he did three years ago. His kisses may still burn in her memory. And his arrogance hasn't changed since he states his intentions to reclaim her. In his bed. Still, as an established food critic who ends up in his restaurant, there's only one thing on her mind. Revenge...
The restaurateur...
Gavin Luciano walked away from the family business and his lover years ago. He thought power and money would make him happy. Now he realizes his mistake and comes home to right his wrongs. He has three months to make his family's struggling Italian restaurant successful, and a bad review is Gavin's worst nightmare. But this isn't just about the meal. He's finally realized what he left behind and is determined to spend the next eight weeks proving himself to Miranda in the kitchen...and in the bedroom. This is one dish she won't be able to refuse.
But when he learns about Miranda's secret, will a second chance at love be too late?

MY REVIEW
Deciding to review this restaurant for her column was, with hindsight, the worst idea of her life. After all, it brought her ex back into her life. The man who smashed her heart to smithereens and has changed the way she now conducts herself and her life. Now she no longer lives through her emotions, no longer sees the white picket fence and the fairy tale marriage in her future. It's absolutely not possible for her to ever forgive Gavin, let alone let him back into her life and her heart.
Gavin made the biggest mistake of his life when he walked away from Miranda all those years ago. But now he's back home, getting his family's restaurant into the black, when his heart waltzes her way into his restaurant and his life. If it's the last thing he does, he will get a second chance at capturing her heart, and gaining her forgiveness.
This is quite an entertaining second chance romance with Miranda's scathing review and Gavin trying to redeem himself and obtain a do over. I wanted to give Miranda a big hug, while at the same time, shake her for forgiving Gavin so easily. I did not like him, his absolute arrogance and smugness, and felt she could have done so much better than giving him a chance at steamrolling her into forgiveness. Her secret was heartbreaking, giving the story some needed depth, and though I never felt Gavin redeemed himself or deserved a second chance, the story itself is really well done, and Miranda makes up for Gavin's awful character.
