MY REVIEW

Sophia's a Morelli. She's been raised to be tough. So she'll get through this - being accused and in jail for something she didn't do (murder). If Damon has his way, she'll do it with him attached at the hip to her. After all, he's the only one who was able to get her out, so that means he's responsible for her. He's taking this VERY, VERY seriously. Too seriously for her tastes. She's chafing at being under lock and key, with Damon following her, bossing her around, trying to keep her in a gilded cage. But she didn't get to where she is today by being meek and dependent. So she'll traverse this new wrinkle her way, even if Damon's determined to do it his way.

Damon cannot believe he's fallen so hard for the brattiest, most defiant woman he's ever met. Sophia's determined to thwart his plans to protect her *cough cough, boss her*, AND she's keeping a giant, of supreme importance, secret from him. Why she doesn't trust him with this is beyond him. It's why he has to let her go...

Argh these two are so freaking frustrating!!!! I get Sophia being independent, I do, but her refusal to let Damon in, even for her own protection, is maddening. But equally maddening is Damon's refusal to understand Sophia and why she won't tell him her secret. Oh they're still seriously hot together, their chemistry isn't in doubt, but their actual relationship is in major doubt by the end of Defy. I am seriously impatient, I have to know now just how these frustrating people are going to get themselves together, get themselves back together, and admit their pigheadness and just be happy and in love. Own cannot land on my Kindle soon enough for this reader!
