MY REVIEW

Paul has pined for his best friend, Brendon, forever now, not realizing Brendon has pined for him too. Both men have a lot of pain in their pasts, have suffered trauma and loss, and those scars aren't going to make things any easier for them.


Brendon shows a carefully created front to the world - that he's fun, playful and mentally fine. But on the inside, he's a hot mess. His best friend knows this about him, though, and accepts him and loves him for all that he is. Brendon might be pining for him, but he'd never let him know, because there's no way they can be together, can they?


Brendon and Paul are adorable together. Mutually pining for each other, never giving in, until they do, and when they do it's spicy. The emotions are intense in a lot of their journey, with both having painful pasts, but they comfort each other the whole way through - the cuddling is top notch. Though the pace meanders a bit in the middle, I was still invested in them getting their HEA, and enjoyed their story, a lot.
