Review / Release Blitz: Good Time Boyfriend (First Time #1) by Carrie Ann Ryan

I want to be more than a good time, but I know what I’m good for.

Good Time Boyfriend, an all-new fake dating, forced proximity romance, and the first book in the First Time Series from New York Times bestselling author Carrie Ann Ryan is now available!

Devney needs a fake boyfriend for the night and I’m all too eager to play along.

But when the sun rises, reality settles in and I know I want more. Only I don’t think she’s ready for what I have to give.

I want to be more than a good time, but I know what I’m good for. I need control. And she’s far too innocent.

When one fake date with Heath turns into two, our relationship becomes all too real. Hard. Fast. And everything I didn't realize I needed.

But I don't know how to tell him I want it all.
Even when the world comes crashing back into focus all too soon.

MY REVIEW

When Heath's confronted by a large, very angry group of people accusing him of breaking their sister's heart, he's at first completely in the dark and about to deny it. But when he spies the beauty living in his mind ever since he first saw her, he knows he'll go along with whatever she's involved with. This just may be his chance with Devney, and he's not about to let her go, even if he has to apologize for something he never did. And when she needs a fake boyfriend to keep that same family off her back and quit meddling? He's definitely all in for that, and to get her to change fake to very real.

Devney's part of a large family that insists on meddling in her (and everyone's) life, and she's had enough. So a year ago she conjured up a fake boyfriend based on a very real guy she met once whom she hasn't stopped thinking about. She didn't realize her family would run straight to the actual guy and try to figure out why he'd broken her heart. Now they're in a fake relationship, trying to keep said family off her back. She's trying really hard to remember it's fake because Heath is her dream guy in very fine actual form - sweet, patient, and so incredibly sexy.

This is a great start for this new series. Devney and Heath are the most adorable couple and it was inevitable from the first page that their fake wasn't going to stay fake for long. I hurt for Heath once his backstory is revealed, but thankfully he had a strong backbone, his chosen family, and he had Devney and her large, eventually welcoming family. Now I am impatiently awaiting Luca and Addison's story next, Last Minute Fiancé.

Review: One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti

Review of One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti ONE LITTLE LIE Hollis is a good girl with a crush on a broody musician. Unfortunately, that boy, Adam, hates her. Why? Because the chip on his shoulder leaves him thinking good girl, rich girl Hollis is a lemming like everyone else in their small town. Which makes it even more unfortunate when years after their high school encounter, Hollis' best friend tries to stick up for her and ends up telling her parents that Adam is the the boyfriend Hollis doesn't actually have. Oops. How will Hollis ever convince Adam to go along with her little lie? I really liked One Little Lie. Hollis is a really naive girl, but she has such a huge heart that I couldn't help but fall in love with her spirit. She's so sweet, so compassionate, the kind of person this world needs more of. Adam, on the other hand, eh, he didn't do much for me. His chip on the shoulder, broody asshole attitude did nothing to endear me to him, but because H...

Coming back to my small Wyoming hometown was supposed to be temporary. I only planned to stay long enough to help my ailing mother and sort through the mess of my family’s old belongings. Instead, I somehow ended up living in Evan Ricci’s house. The single dad now owned a bunch of properties and one of them was the place I’d rented. He’d taken it off the market and moved in before I got there. I just never got the memo. Unfortunately, there was no other place in town available, so Evan let me stay. Evan—the guy my parents took in years a...
