Grace

It wasn’t hard for me to walk away from my family without looking back—the time had come for me to live for myself. New city. New job.
My new boss? He’s gorgeous.
It’s too bad that handsome face is wasted on such a condescending prick.
He hates me, and the feeling is mutual.
The only reason he may not be the literal devil is because he’s a devoted single dad, making it clear Caine is, in fact, capable of human emotion.

Caine

I’m good at two things:
1. Raising my daughter to be strong and independent.
2. My job.
When my new assistant walks into the office, I become good at ignoring her. She’s sassy. Smart. Beautiful.
Much younger and off-limits for more reasons than I can count.
That doesn’t mean I want her any less.
She hates me—but as each day goes by, it’s harder and harder to remember why I hate her too.

MY REVIEW

Grace is finally making the move away from her family. She's got a new job, a new home, and life should be good. Except, that new job comes with a new boss. A new, shall we say, bosshole boss. He's grumpy and rude, but ridiculously hot. It doesn't matter if she's attracted to him, she knows nothing will ever come of it because they can't stand each other. Can they?

Caine is flustered from the moment he lays eyes on his new assistant. She's gorgeous, she's much younger, and she calls him on his ridiculousness, and yet, he can't do anything about it. Not only can he not control the words that come out of his mouth around her, but he can't control that his mind is always on her. Even more significantly, his daughter, who is his life, is entranced by her. Nothing good can come of his new work situation, but when she's finally had enough, will he let her walk away?

Wow, what a way to end this fabulous series. I was really excited to finally get Grace's story, and though I'm sad the series is done, I'm really glad the way everything turned out for her. Grace and Caine's chemistry is sizzling from the minute she walks through his office door and she upends his life. Their banter is snarky and witty and doesn't even begin to mask the heat between them, and when they finally give in, it was fire! But I can't forget the secondary cast - Caine's adorable little girl, and Grace's family doing their protective best to rally around her and show Caine just why they're the best family. I have loved this series, and am going to sorely miss it, but if it has to end, what a way, what a couple to end with!

Meet Natasha Madison

When her nose isn’t buried in a book, or her fingers flying across a keyboard writing, she’s in the kitchen creating gourmet meals. You can find her, in four inch heels no less, in the car chauffeuring kids, or possibly with her husband scheduling his business trips. It’s a good thing her characters do what she says, because even her Labrador doesn’t listen to her…

Review: One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti

Review of One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti ONE LITTLE LIE Hollis is a good girl with a crush on a broody musician. Unfortunately, that boy, Adam, hates her. Why? Because the chip on his shoulder leaves him thinking good girl, rich girl Hollis is a lemming like everyone else in their small town. Which makes it even more unfortunate when years after their high school encounter, Hollis' best friend tries to stick up for her and ends up telling her parents that Adam is the the boyfriend Hollis doesn't actually have. Oops. How will Hollis ever convince Adam to go along with her little lie? I really liked One Little Lie. Hollis is a really naive girl, but she has such a huge heart that I couldn't help but fall in love with her spirit. She's so sweet, so compassionate, the kind of person this world needs more of. Adam, on the other hand, eh, he didn't do much for me. His chip on the shoulder, broody asshole attitude did nothing to endear me to him, but because H...

Title: The Challenge: A Single Dad Romance Author: Penelope Ward Genre: Standalone Contemporary Romance Tropes: Single Dad, Second Chance, Forced Proximity Friends to Lovers, Small Town, Found Family Release Date: August 30, 2026 BLURB From New York Times bestselling author Penelope Ward comes a new, STANDALONE contemporary romance… Nothing says welcome home like accidentally moving in with your first heartbreak…and his little girl. Coming back to my small Wyoming hometown was supposed to be temporary. I only planned to stay long enough to help my ailing mother and sort through the mess of my family’s old belongings. Instead, I somehow ended up living in Evan Ricci’s house. The single dad now owned a bunch of properties and one of them was the place I’d rented. He’d taken it off the market and moved in before I got there. I just never got the memo. Unfortunately, there was no other place in town available, so Evan let me stay. Evan—the guy my parents took in years a...
