Review / Release Blitz: Turn of the Tides (Whitecap #3) by Jessica Prince

Title: Turn of the Tides
Author: Jessica Prince
Series: Whitecap
Release Date: February 5
Contemporary Romance; Small Town Romance

⁣When Beau Wade left his small hometown of Whitecap, Oregon, he swore to himself he’d never go back. But when his NFL career goes up in smoke, that’s exactly what he finds himself doing. Not much has changed in the ten years he’s been gone. Gossip still spreads through town like wildfire, Dropped Anchor is still the local’s favorite bar, and the woman he’s been secretly in love with most of his life still hates his guts.

Presley Fields is even more beautiful than he remembered. Her smile has the power to light up a room and that bubbly personality of hers is still as strong as ever. For everyone but Beau, anyway, and that’s the least he deserves for making her high school years a nightmare.

He isn’t the same stupid kid he was back then, and after watching her slip through his fingers too many times, the tides have finally turned in his favor. It’ll take a miracle, and every ounce of charm he has, but he’s determined to win her heart. And this time, he intends to keep it.

Presley is a sweet sunshine to everyone but her former bully, Beau. She honestly never thought she'd have to see him again after he left their small town for fame and NFL fortune. But somehow he's back in town and seems intent on not only pissing her off as usual, but redeeming himself and convincing her they are meant to be together. All she knows is he's out of his mind if he thinks that she'll ever forgive him, let alone be with him, after the way he treated her back in high school. She underestimated him and his persistence (and her heart), though, because she's starting to soften toward him and remember how much she had a crush on him before he tore her heart to shreds. She just may be willing to go all in with him now, especially once he reveals why he did what he did back then.

I gotta say this first - I wanted to smack Beau at first because it was obvious Presley was an absolute sweetheart that should be treated like a goddess, in her present and in their past, and he just kept riling her up but yet expecting her to just be with him because he had feelings for her and knew she was attracted to him. But, eventually, as his backstory was revealed, and his true self emerged, I was cheering them on because it turned out they both were amazing people who deserved love and finally found it with each other. I love their chemistry, especially when they're verbally taking jabs at each other, barely covering the attraction simmering, and by the end I was just happy they ended up together. The secondary cast and the friendship between Presley and Colbie is that kind of friendship you want for yourself, and now I'm really looking forward to her story with her hot sheriff, Cade.

Born and raised around Houston Texas, Jessica spent most of her life complaining about the heat, humidity, and all around pain in the ass weather. It was only as an adult that she quickly realized the cost of living in Houston made up for not being able to breathe when she stepped outside. That’s why God created central air, after all.

Jessica is the mother of a perfect little boy–she refuses to accept that he inherited her attitude and sarcastic nature no matter what her husband says.

In addition to being a wife and mom, she’s also a wino, a coffee addict, and an avid lover of all types of books–romances still being her all time favs. Her husband likes to claim that reading is her obsession but she just says it’s a passion…there’s a difference. Not that she’d expect a boy to understand.

Jessica has been writing since she was a little girl, but thankfully grew out of drawing her own pictures for her stories before ever publishing her first book. Because an artist she is not.

Review: Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette (American Revolutionary Tales 2) by Regina Kammer

Review of Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette by Regina Kammer Captain Samuel Taylor and Lieutenant Patrick Hamilton recall their first steamy encounter, which was a MFM threesome in a brothel. It morphed into more and now the two are contemplating their futures with the women they love, and their futures with each other. If you think times are hard for the LGBT community now, think of how hard they were during the American Revolution. Winter Interlude is well developed, which is surprising given its short length. I am so interested in knowing what is to become of Samuel and Patrick's forbidden relationship. Do they stay together? Or do they go their separate ways, and live out their lives with their women? Now that they've admitted their love for each other, how impossible would it be for them to be without each other? I have to know, now! If you like MM fiction and/or historical fiction, I highly recommend you give Winter Interlude a read. It...
