The hot baseball player I’m forced to stay with for my best friend’s wedding is off limits.

Remy Winfield has more muscles than manners, and he’s on a mission to get me into bed by way of the filthiest mouth I’ve ever wanted to kiss. He doesn’t care about my long time crush or my certainty that we’re finally about to happen.

Remy's sure I’ll break first and kiss him, and he’ll tease me to the limit to make sure I do. I might be a Lady, but I can still play his dirty little game. It’s perfectly safe, totally harmless.

Until I fall for him.

Suddenly, Mr. Long-Time Crush doesn’t matter at all.

And my best friend can never know.

MY REVIEW

Jessa's come for her bestie's wedding, and finds she's somehow been slated to stay with Cass's cousin Remy. Lady Jessamine staying with a small town former baseball player, current bartender?! Well, yes, and he's just the man to help her with her crush on her and Cass's friend, Henry. But what happens when her and Remy's fake dating starts feeling very real and she forgets all about her crush?

All Remy knows is that Ladies like Jessa don't go for rough around the edges guys like him. But he wants her more than anything, so of course he agrees to fake date her to make her crush jealous. Except it's backfiring on them because now their fake is starting to blur and feel real. If only they didn't have to hide it from Cass. If only he could convince her to stay and not go back to England. If only...

I've been reading and loving Staci's writing for years now, and have missed her during her hiatus. When I first heard she was back to writing again, I was ecstatic. And I have to say that Wild Card is an epic way to make a comeback. Remy and Jessa are true opposites, and with that comes all the good stuff - the tension, the snarky banter, and the ease and familiarity they find with each other as they "fake" date. They practically set my Kindle on fire as she fought to resist him, even though it was obvious from their first words that his charm would be too much for her. The Roseville Ramblers are off to an excellent start with Remy and Jessa, now I'm anxiously waiting for Wilder's story!

Review: Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette (American Revolutionary Tales 2) by Regina Kammer

Review of Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette by Regina Kammer Captain Samuel Taylor and Lieutenant Patrick Hamilton recall their first steamy encounter, which was a MFM threesome in a brothel. It morphed into more and now the two are contemplating their futures with the women they love, and their futures with each other. If you think times are hard for the LGBT community now, think of how hard they were during the American Revolution. Winter Interlude is well developed, which is surprising given its short length. I am so interested in knowing what is to become of Samuel and Patrick's forbidden relationship. Do they stay together? Or do they go their separate ways, and live out their lives with their women? Now that they've admitted their love for each other, how impossible would it be for them to be without each other? I have to know, now! If you like MM fiction and/or historical fiction, I highly recommend you give Winter Interlude a read. It...
