MY REVIEW
Lorenzo "Ren" Santoro has been denying his feelings for his best friend's daughter Halle, for years. But when her father sends her to his ship for a research project, the close confines and his ever present feelings start eroding his defenses. Then when they have to go on the run together, he realizes he absolutely cannot deny what's between them any longer. He'll keep her safe, then they can spend the rest of their lives together...if they can get past her dad first.
Halle may be young and inexperienced, but she knows exactly what (whom) she wants - her dad's best friend, Ren Santoro. Now she's on his ship, and she's going to do whatever she must to get him to realize they're meant for each other. Even though they're facing danger from all sides, they're on the run, and she's not sure if her dad will ever forgive them, she is determined to get through to him. They can deal with the fallout after they survive...
Action, adventure, suspense, seriously hot attraction, and heightened emotions - Ren and Halle's story has it all. Ren had been denying himself Halle for so long, I was wondering how he was ever going to give in. Thank God she appeared on his ship with more determination than he was ever prepared for. She's amazing, for all her youth, she's mature, smart and persistent, and didn't let the danger or Ren's denial get her down one bit. I love her kind of heroine, and she's perfect for uber protective Ren. There is a cameo by one of my favorites - Vander! - and a glimpse of a hero I want more of - Sawyer, both just making me look even more forward to more of Anna's Unbroken Heroes series.
