Review / Release Blitz: Buy a Boyfriend (The Abbott Brothers #2) by Everly Ashton

Buy A Boyfriend by Everly Ashton is now live!

It wasn’t my expectation to fall into bed with the woman who won me at the bachelor auction.

I was only doing my grandma a favor, not looking for more than a shared dinner with the winner. Then again, I wasn’t expecting someone as hot as Isla to be my date.

She makes it clear that she’s down for a night in the sheets but bolts, leaving me holding my junk—literally. Which I figure, in the end, is all fine and good because love burned me before, and I have no plans to repeat that soul-crushing heartbreak.

I took a much-needed vacation from the handyman business I own with my brothers, Rent A Husband, only to return to find out they’d hired Isla, making me her boss.

And now I have to see her every day, and it’s getting harder to pretend I’m not still drawn to her. But I burned that bridge the night she was briefly in my bed, and any lust she had for me has turned to hatred.

Which is for the best because she has a new boyfriend, which is all the motivation I need to stay away from her. Until it’s not.

MY REVIEW

Travis cannot get his almost ons out of his mind, but he doesn't want to keep thinking of the woman who ran out on him. He's been burned before, and it really messed with his self-confidence. Then he comes back to the company he owns with his brothers and finds they've hired HER. Yep, now he has to face Isla every day and it's driving him nuts.

Travis can't even stand being in the same room as Isla, which is a problem considering she now works for his family company. If he only knew the real reason she cut short what was supposed to be a memorable night. But he can't stand her, so she's moving on. She never realized that moving on would spur Travis into acting on the tension between them, though. The bachelor auction is finally living up to its promise. They'll just have to overcome Travis' baggage, though.

This is a sweet, relatively slow burn rom com. I love the grumpy/sunshine aspect - Travis is the very definition of grumpy and Isla's a sassy sweetheart whose sparks kept me reading. These Abbot Brothers are awesome, now I'm very impatiently waiting for Josh and Nova's story next, Lease a Lover.

Review: Waiting for You by Kate McBrien

Review of Waiting for You by Kate McBrien Justin and Lucy are apart, but for how long? Lucy's staying with her parents, but knows she needs to get out and start living her life again. But when she gets a chance to go to London, it just may be her chance to reunite with the man whose soul has been entwined with hers for centuries upon centuries. But first, our two fated lovers will have to not only reunite, but stay together, beat the odds and the people and/or forces who are trying to keep them apart. Waiting for You is a great followup to Discovering You. Justin and Lucy's story is exciting and passionate, and the mystical/fantasy/paranormal aspect just adds another interesting layer to their already wonderful connection. I normally don't read a lot of paranormal/fantasy/sci-fi romance anymore, but I loved it here in Waiting for You. It's subtle, but ever present and as I said, just makes their story all the more intriguing. I can't wait for the conclusio...
