Clara Rossi rarely allows herself moments of fun, but when she does, whew! But she's always told herself those moments aren't to mix with her professional life. Then in strolls her biker hookup looking like a snack in a suit, telling her he wants a partnership between his company and hers. What to do? Give in and let herself have something beautiful, or keep holding back because she's afraid of being hurt?
Jake knows as soon as his motorcycle riding woman appears again in his life, that he's not letting her get away again. She can fight him all she wants, but she won't win - because he knows they're meant for each other. Yes, their companies want a partnership, yes, they're both single parents, but neither of these obstacles are insurmountable. She just has to take the same leap he has.
I think I was swooning with heart eyes the whole way through, as soon as Clara and Jake's meet cute turned out to be sooo cute, and HOT! The way he swept his way into her life and wouldn't leave, no matter how much she tried to push him away - gah I loved it, loved him, loved her. Their chemistry is some of the hottest Julia's ever written, and by the end I was even more in love with this adorable couple than I was at the beginning.
