Blurb
It was only supposed to be one night—a hot, nameless encounter with the gruff, gorgeous, older stranger.

When you’re on the run from a killer, you can’t afford attachments. For over a year, I’ve been alone, never staying in one place long, fighting to survive.

But when the tall, muscled man with the intriguing ink steps in to help me with an obnoxious admirer, we end up sharing a coffee. Coffee turns into the hottest night of my life.

I never expected to see him again.

But when I walk into Hard Burn—the best gym in New Orleans—desperate to learn how to fight, I discover my stranger is none other than Beauden Fury.

When Beau discovers I’m being hunted, I see the true depth of his protective streak. He gives me a job, and says he’ll train me to protect myself. But he also makes it clear that he thinks I’m too young, too vulnerable, and too nice for him.

Now we’re spending hours together, side by side, and it’s hard to remember that I can’t let myself get too close. It’s even harder to fight our red-hot desire.

But the man hunting me hasn’t given up.

Can I defeat a killer, and prove to Beau that what we have is worth fighting for?

The Fury Brothers: fierce, loyal, and live by their own code

Five men who grew up in foster care and became brothers by choice. They vow to always have each other’s back: no questions, no doubts, no hesitation. They protect their own…always.

MY REVIEW

Bell has been on the run since her friend was killed and she found herself in the killer's sights. Then she meets a rough and rugged man who steps in and runs off someone who won't leave her alone while she's stopped at a diner. Spending just one memorable night together will have to sustain her indefinitely, and it does until one day she walks into a gym for fighting lessons and who happens to own that gym but the man from her memories, Beau (Beauden) Fury. They can't continue what they started before, but he can certainly give her the lessons she needs to help her take down the man after her.

Beau cannot believe the woman he hasn't been able to forget is actually standing in his gym, so long after their memorable time together. He can't touch her, though, can't have anything with her - she's too young, too innocent, and far too good to be involved with someone like him, with his past. But all the close proximity is doing away with his control and his resistance. But as close as they've become, he knows their time together is temporary. As soon as the threat is gone, Bell will be free to go back to her life, go to college, go back to her mom, whatever she wants. She won't want to be stuck with an old, grumpy guy with the past he has. Or won't she? Perhaps he should let her make that choice...

These Fury brothers are so resistant to love! Thank God love isn't resistant to them and women have come into their lives and brought them to their knees. Beau was particularly resistant, and it was hard to read of him being so down on himself. Like his found family, he's amazing though, and has gone through so much that really only made him stronger. He deserved an equally strong, amazing partner, and he found her in Bell. I wanted to hug them both and was glad Bell put her foot down and decided to fight for her man. I'm going to miss reading about this family by choice, but if the series had to end, Anna chose a wonderful couple for the conclusion.

Meet Anna Hackett
I’m a USA Today bestselling romance author who’s passionate about fast-paced, emotion-filled romantic suspense and science-fiction romance. I love writing about people overcoming unbeatable odds and achieving seemingly impossible goals. I like to believe it’s possible for all of us to do the same.

My parents are to blame for my insatiable need to mix action, adventure, and romance. When I was young, I raided my mother’s romances and my father’s action adventure thrillers. I love being exhilarated and left just a little breathless. I’m a sucker for that moment when the team is walking in slow motion, shoulder-to-shoulder heading off into battle.

Review: Waiting for You by Kate McBrien

Review of Waiting for You by Kate McBrien Justin and Lucy are apart, but for how long? Lucy's staying with her parents, but knows she needs to get out and start living her life again. But when she gets a chance to go to London, it just may be her chance to reunite with the man whose soul has been entwined with hers for centuries upon centuries. But first, our two fated lovers will have to not only reunite, but stay together, beat the odds and the people and/or forces who are trying to keep them apart. Waiting for You is a great followup to Discovering You. Justin and Lucy's story is exciting and passionate, and the mystical/fantasy/paranormal aspect just adds another interesting layer to their already wonderful connection. I normally don't read a lot of paranormal/fantasy/sci-fi romance anymore, but I loved it here in Waiting for You. It's subtle, but ever present and as I said, just makes their story all the more intriguing. I can't wait for the conclusio...
