When Trix's (Beatrix) college sweetheart dumped her without warning and cut off all communication, she didn't let it get her down. She's now a busy, successful woman but might need a night of fun. Enter that same ex that broke her heart. Surely she can have a ons, get Ren (Dominic Renaldi) out of her system, then move on? Or not...
Trix doesn't know it, but Ren has never gotten over her. He was just young, stupid, and thought he was doing what was best for her when he broke up with her and left without further communication. She also doesn't know that he's here with one goal in mind - get her back. Thank God his dog helps him out and now he's got her in his sights, not to let go. If it's the last thing he does, he'll have his second chance with the only woman he's ever loved.
I love the accidental/surprise pregnancy trope, especially when, like Trix and Ren, they're able to communicate like mature adults, and figure co-parenting out even before they take that final step and declare their love. Trix is a strong, smart heroine, with a big heart, one who had admirably moved on from her first love, only for him to storm back into her life with the intent of never leaving. Ren in turn, is so sweet and swoony, I was rooting for him to get that second chance he wanted, even when she was resisting him. This series has been so entertaining, has so much heart and adorable couples, and I think this one is my favorite yet.
