Review: Second Chance Baby (Crescent Cove #18) by Taryn Quinn

Second Chance Baby, the 18th installment of the Crescent Cove series by Taryn Quinn is LIVE NOW!

https://geni.us/SCB-choice

A small town, forced proximity, second chances, babymaking standalone romance!

“A more evolved male would probably shed a few tears for your anemic $ex life since we’ve been apart. Me? I’ll commit to giving you 0ral sex to make up for every hour I missed…”

I've been a single father so long that I don't remember life without my adorably sassy 10 year-old daughter. Don't want to, actually. I love being a father more than I ever expected to, and ever since my daughter's mother left us, I've mostly been abstinent. Making me quite a catch around our home in small town Baby USA, Crescent Cove.

But all I want is a second chance with Bridget, Carrington's mother. My high school sweetheart and first love.

My forever love if I get my way after she shows up to my charity calendar reshoot and we end up losing our clothes…on camera.

Unexpectedly, our shoot goes viral. And guess what, now there is another surprise on the way…

Author’s Note: Travis Masterson never expected to fall in love with being a daddy to his little girl or to have to basically raise her on his own for the first decade of her life. But then he reconnects with his ex and right away, they start working on expanding their family. And surprise, Travis is all about giving being a house husband a try! Second Chance Baby is a standalone romantic comedy with a happily-ever-after ending and no cliffhanger.

MY REVIEW

Travis and Bridget had a young love that went about the way most young love goes - bust. But out of it they got their precocious, sassy daughter, Carrington. Though they've been apart for many years, Bridget having left years ago, they're about to reunite in a very spicy, viral way. Is this a second chance or just their chemistry that has only gotten stronger since they split?

Back when Bridget first gave birth to Carrington, Bridget's mental and emotional health were all over the place, and being that she had no support system, she didn't know how to cope with a new baby, and a partner who was gone all the time, so she ended up leaving Carrington with Travis. But she's older now, her mental health having stabilized a lot, so being reunited with Travis, even in such an intense way, can be her chance to reclaim her family.

I love this reunited family + one more on the way! The mental health rep, especially a new mother's state of mind, is done so well, in such a realistic, heartfelt way. Their chemistry of course is fire, but what I love even more is how their love had only gotten stronger as they had each matured in the years of their separation. And of course, their amazing daughter Carrington brings the laughs along with the quirky residents of this baby happy small town. I hope this writing duo never stops writing about love and babies in Crescent Cove, because with each couple and bab(ies), I fall in love with the whole series even more.

Review: Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette (American Revolutionary Tales 2) by Regina Kammer

Review of Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette by Regina Kammer Captain Samuel Taylor and Lieutenant Patrick Hamilton recall their first steamy encounter, which was a MFM threesome in a brothel. It morphed into more and now the two are contemplating their futures with the women they love, and their futures with each other. If you think times are hard for the LGBT community now, think of how hard they were during the American Revolution. Winter Interlude is well developed, which is surprising given its short length. I am so interested in knowing what is to become of Samuel and Patrick's forbidden relationship. Do they stay together? Or do they go their separate ways, and live out their lives with their women? Now that they've admitted their love for each other, how impossible would it be for them to be without each other? I have to know, now! If you like MM fiction and/or historical fiction, I highly recommend you give Winter Interlude a read. It...

There’s no one more off limits than my best friend’s daughter. Peggy Aurora Hammerstein. The Toronto Terror’s unofficial team princess. I see her as she is now: a powerful woman with ambition for miles. When I hold he...
