Blurb
When the single mom moves in next door, it's your enemy's soon-to-be ex-wife.
Lines are drawn, and I have to remember not to cross them.

Brady

For once, my life was calm.
Behind us was the threat our distillery was going to be shut down.
Now we could focus on growing our brand exactly the way I dreamed of doing it when I took it over.
Nothing was going to stop me.
Until she moved in next door.
My enemy’s wife with her seven-year-old son.
I don’t need this right now.
But everything inside me pulled me toward her.
Even offering her a job. Little did I know, again, I was starting a war.
However, I’m ready for it this time.

Harmony
It was no secret my husband had a wandering eye.
Leaving him shouldn’t have been a shock to anyone.
For Winston, it was more about failing at something that got under his skin.
Besides, he had to make his parents happy.
Which means he’s going to make my life unhappy.
When the pounding starts at my door one night, I’m ready to ignore it.
Until the stranger next door comes to our aid.
He’s everything you want in a man.
I know I shouldn’t involve anyone else in my life.
But maybe it’s time for me to see what dreams are made of.

MY REVIEW

The time finally came for Harmony to leave her horrible husband. Now she's moved into a house that's seen better days, and she's trying her best to find a job with enough hours to keep the lights on for her and her son Wyatt. But she should have known better than to think her ex would let her go quietly. Thank God her neighbor Brady, steps in to help get Winston to leave her alone, THIS time. But she's not about to start thinking Brady did it because he has welcoming feelings for her. Oh no, not this man - her ex's family is despised by Brady's family, so by association, she is persona non grata in Brady's eyes. Or is she? Because the heat in his eyes is sending her much different signals...

Brady can't not step in when his neighbor's ex comes drunkenly roaring up on her porch. He knows Harmony has a son that doesn't need to see his father treating his mother that way. But now Brady's gone and found himself drawn to her when he really shouldn't be. Not only is her ex his family's enemy, but Brady himself just cannot see himself with someone he's hated by association for so long. But he may not have a choice but to fall in love with Harmony once he realizes how wrong he's viewed her all this time.

I love it when enemies become more, and when they realize what they thought were negative feelings are something much different. In Brady and Harmony's situation, they weren't true enemies, rather just Brady's viewing Harmony in an inaccurate light because of who she was unfortunately married to, but reading as he fought through his once negative feelings was pure entertainment. My favorite part, though, is when Brady bonds with Harmony's adorable son, Wyatt. He's such a joy to read - the innocence, and the way he shines as his newfound family welcomes him and Harmony into their fold. This single mom needs a partner to treat her like a queen, to take care of her heart in a way no one ever had, and she found him in Brady. Their connection, though insta-ish, is strong both emotionally and physically, and the warmth and love of found family in Brady's loud but welcoming crew, made my heart and hers and Wyatt's rejoice.

Meet Natasha Madison
When her nose isn’t buried in a book, or her fingers flying across a keyboard writing, she’s in the kitchen creating gourmet meals. You can find her, in four inch heels no less, in the car chauffeuring kids, or possibly with her husband scheduling his business trips. It’s a good thing her characters do what she says, because even her Labrador doesn’t listen to her…

Review: One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti

Review of One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti ONE LITTLE LIE Hollis is a good girl with a crush on a broody musician. Unfortunately, that boy, Adam, hates her. Why? Because the chip on his shoulder leaves him thinking good girl, rich girl Hollis is a lemming like everyone else in their small town. Which makes it even more unfortunate when years after their high school encounter, Hollis' best friend tries to stick up for her and ends up telling her parents that Adam is the the boyfriend Hollis doesn't actually have. Oops. How will Hollis ever convince Adam to go along with her little lie? I really liked One Little Lie. Hollis is a really naive girl, but she has such a huge heart that I couldn't help but fall in love with her spirit. She's so sweet, so compassionate, the kind of person this world needs more of. Adam, on the other hand, eh, he didn't do much for me. His chip on the shoulder, broody asshole attitude did nothing to endear me to him, but because H...
