Review / Release Blitz: The Last Guy On Earth (Hockey Guys #3) by Sarina Bowen

One cold December day, two men are blindsided by a hockey trade; one is the most decorated goalie in the league, while the other one is the youngest coach in the majors.

Jethro Hale is the last player Coach Clay Powers wants to see on his roster, but the G.M. pulls a fast one. And it's not like he can even explain why. Nobody knows about their love affair fifteen years ago.

Cue the all-star awkwardness, the painful memories and the reawakening of deep feelings on both sides.

Unfortunately, their attraction still burns brightly. But it can never be. A player and a coach? The scandal would overshadow the team’s banner year.

If only they could resist each other…

If you love grumpy heroes, high stakes hockey, struggling single parents and smoldering kisses, grab your copy of The Last Guy on Earth.

MY REVIEW

As the youngest coach in the league, the last thing Clay needs is more pressure, but he's not getting his wish. Now the last guy he wants has been traded to his team - Jethro, the guy who broke his heart years ago. His job just got that much harder. He's angry, he's a little sad, and he doesn't want to deal with his ex. But perhaps it was the best thing for them, because those feelings they had then never died. They're more mature now, wiser, and the league looks different than it did before. A second chance just might be theirs for the taking.

Jethro gave his whole career to his team and now they're trading him on a whim, out of the blue. Now he's on Clay Powers' team. his ex. Yep. On top of a turbulent family life - his guardianship of his nephew is about to possibly be revoked and given back to his rehabbing sister, now he has to deal with his ex and all those old feelings at the same time he has to gel with a new team and take stock of that career and the possible end of it. As if life wasn't hard enough...

A second chance hockey romance?! Yup, there was no way I wasn't going to read, and love, this one. Jethro and Clay had a long, but thoughtful journey to their happy ever after. There was a lot of pain to get past, and a lot of consequences to think of before they could truly forgive each other and let the love back in. But the way they get to that point was a sweet, emotional story that tugged at my heart more than a little.

Review: Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette (American Revolutionary Tales 2) by Regina Kammer

Review of Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette by Regina Kammer Captain Samuel Taylor and Lieutenant Patrick Hamilton recall their first steamy encounter, which was a MFM threesome in a brothel. It morphed into more and now the two are contemplating their futures with the women they love, and their futures with each other. If you think times are hard for the LGBT community now, think of how hard they were during the American Revolution. Winter Interlude is well developed, which is surprising given its short length. I am so interested in knowing what is to become of Samuel and Patrick's forbidden relationship. Do they stay together? Or do they go their separate ways, and live out their lives with their women? Now that they've admitted their love for each other, how impossible would it be for them to be without each other? I have to know, now! If you like MM fiction and/or historical fiction, I highly recommend you give Winter Interlude a read. It...
