Two nights with her ruined me for all other women, but I never got the chance to make her mine.

I’m the pinnacle of control. I protect the net, my team, and my daughter.
It’s my final season and I can’t afford any distractions.
Except our new assistant coach just walked in.
And I would know her face anywhere.
She’s the one I dream about.

That weekend, I was just a man—not the legend, the dad, the mentor.
I didn’t care that I was a decade older.
For the first time in my life, I was ready to risk everything if it meant having her.
Until I woke up to an empty bed and no note.
Three years of wishing I knew how to find her, now she’s my new boss.

I can be patient.
But for her—I want to break all the rules.

MY REVIEW

Once upon a time, Lexi and Roman had a beautiful fling. But it wasn't their time, and Roman woke up and she was gone. Now she's just walked back into his life. No, not for a second chance. Nope, she's now one of his bosses - the league's first female assistant coach. He cannot possibly have a second chance with Lexi, can he? Not now. Not while she's forbidden. Not when he's in his final season as a hockey player. Not...but the heart wants what the heart wants and the forbidden shouldn't always be forbidden, not when 2 people love each other like Roman and Lexi do.

Lexi's life hasn't been easy, but for one weekend 3 years ago, she had the most intense and beautiful experience of her life. But that's in the past. Now she's got her sisters, and her new job. Her new dream job as an assistant hockey coach. But face to face with Roman and all the feelings are rushing back. She has a choice to make - her career or love?

I couldn't have picked a better partner for Roman than Lexi. These two are perfect for each other. Even though they had to fight the forbidden nature of their relationship. Even though they had to try to be professional around each other. They fought their feelings, and lost, because there was no way once they saw each other again, that they wouldn't end up together. This hockey player and his coach had so much chemistry it set my Kindle on fire, but what really had me was their rock solid emotional connection, their heart. I love this series, all the friendships and the found family, and especially the way they are finding love. Now I'm even more excited to read Nate's story next, I Could Be Yours.

Review: Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette (American Revolutionary Tales 2) by Regina Kammer

Review of Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette by Regina Kammer Captain Samuel Taylor and Lieutenant Patrick Hamilton recall their first steamy encounter, which was a MFM threesome in a brothel. It morphed into more and now the two are contemplating their futures with the women they love, and their futures with each other. If you think times are hard for the LGBT community now, think of how hard they were during the American Revolution. Winter Interlude is well developed, which is surprising given its short length. I am so interested in knowing what is to become of Samuel and Patrick's forbidden relationship. Do they stay together? Or do they go their separate ways, and live out their lives with their women? Now that they've admitted their love for each other, how impossible would it be for them to be without each other? I have to know, now! If you like MM fiction and/or historical fiction, I highly recommend you give Winter Interlude a read. It...
