She was just supposed to be a one-night stand…

But then she became my world.

Once, I was the lead guitarist of the hit rock band, Midnight Sun. Then a tragic accident took everything from me. I can no longer play guitar, my wife left me, and the future I worked so hard for is slipping away.

All I am now is a grumpy, infamous, former rockstar.

So, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that I’m not in the market for a woman, especially not Jade Cantrell—who’s as beautiful and talented as she is sweet.

Then the media pounces on a story about the two of us, and suddenly we’re zipping off to a mountain retreat and writing an album together.

I can’t keep it strictly business—no matter how hard I try.

And the more I get to know her, the more I know I don’t have any hope of keeping her out of my heart.

One night will never be enough.

I'm going to keep her forever.

When the Game Breakers meet more than hearts will be broken…
They’ll claim, protect, and...maybe just rock their women's worlds.

MY REVIEW

Former rockstar guitarist Royal doesn't really want to be here at this awards ceremony, but the song he wrote for budding country star, Jade, is up for an award, and he should be in the audience for support. He had no way of knowing their attraction would be so much that they'd end up spending a night together that should have remained at just a night, and would have, had they not been tasked to work together again. Now they're in close proximity in a secluded cabin and those feelings are coming to the surface along with a genuine friendship developing. But if Jade and Royal want to make a real relationship work, they both, especially Royal, need to do a lot of healing and growth first.

Heartbreaker packs a serious emotional punch! Jade and Royal's journey is winding and fraught with turmoil, especially as Royal starts to heal. But the sweet ending is definitely a reward for the heartbreak they go through. Jade is the real standout for me in this story - she's a ray of sunshine, one with a strong backbone, who doesn't let people steamroll her. Royal, grumpy, tortured Royal, took longer for me to connect with than I did with Jade, but he redeems himself finally near the end, and Jade is right there with him, even though he was pretty awful to her at one point. I'm loving this hockey series, the found family and the friendships all the guys have. I'm impatiently waiting for Dash's story next, Dealbreaker. I have a strong feeling it's going to be just as emotionally gut wrenching as Heartbreaker.

Review: Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette (American Revolutionary Tales 2) by Regina Kammer

Review of Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette by Regina Kammer Captain Samuel Taylor and Lieutenant Patrick Hamilton recall their first steamy encounter, which was a MFM threesome in a brothel. It morphed into more and now the two are contemplating their futures with the women they love, and their futures with each other. If you think times are hard for the LGBT community now, think of how hard they were during the American Revolution. Winter Interlude is well developed, which is surprising given its short length. I am so interested in knowing what is to become of Samuel and Patrick's forbidden relationship. Do they stay together? Or do they go their separate ways, and live out their lives with their women? Now that they've admitted their love for each other, how impossible would it be for them to be without each other? I have to know, now! If you like MM fiction and/or historical fiction, I highly recommend you give Winter Interlude a read. It...
