Brax Gallo doesn’t believe in love at first sight. Heck, he doesn’t stay in relationships long enough to develop real feelings for any woman. But one look at the sad girl alone at his bar, checking her phone, and gnawing her lip with worry and he’s absolutely smitten. He knows in that moment; it’s possible to fall hard and fast.
Iris has always been unlucky with love. After being stood up at the altar two years ago, she has no interest in dating. But her friends leave her no choice when they create a dating profile for her and set up a date. She hopes for the best, thinking she’s due for a break. She waits for him. And waits. But when he doesn’t show, she’s reminded that men break her heart every time.
What starts out as a flirty banter leads to something neither of them wanted, but everything they needed.

MY REVIEW
Brax may want what he sees his family has - a committed, loving relationship, but he hasn't met the woman he wants one with. That's why he's known as the playboy, having fun but never committing to more. Then he sees a beautiful woman with sadness in her eyes, sitting at his bar, and suddenly he knows she's the one. He just has to get past her walls. The incoming snow storm is going to be his biggest help, and will show her just how the Gallos welcome people into their fold.
The Gallos are one of my favorite families in all of romance, and Brax is the reasons personified - he's so sweet and protective, and instinctively knew when to push Iris out of her comfort zone, and when to be gentle with her. His family may be meddlers, they may be opinionated, but they love hard, and I was so glad Brax brought her into his family's loving arms. I can't think of a heroine who more deserved a protective man and his welcoming family to love her than Iris.
