I never thought I’d be a runaway bride. But when it came down to it, I just couldn’t marry the wrong man.
So, I ran.
And somehow, I ended up in Star Falls, Colorado—stranded, no luggage, no plan—in a wedding dress with a past I’d rather forget.
Fate lands me in the only available rental in town, a cozy little cabin… right next door to Byron Miller, the brooding billionaire who wants nothing to do with me. Or this town.

I left Star Falls years ago, along with every mistake. Now I’m back, determined to build a luxury resort that might just rewrite my past.
The last thing I need is a distraction—especially not one like the runaway bride that moved in next door. She has too many secrets and a smile so wide, I just can’t look away.
But no matter how hard I try to keep my distance, there’s something about her, that refuses to be ignored.
Snow falls. Sparks fly. Late-night porch talks turn into something more, something neither of us expected. But Rosey’s past isn’t far behind, and my future here is hanging by a thread.
She’s just passing through. I’m trying not to put down roots. But Star Falls, Colorado has its own plan.

MY REVIEW
Rosey's run from what was supposed to be her wedding. She just couldn't bring herself to marry Frank - she didn't love him, and couldn't see herself marrying him only to be her mother's meal ticket. She's found herself in the small Colorado town of Star Falls, ready to start over and seize her independence. That's where Byron comes in. Her neighbor, temporary landlord, and...new boss? And more if they give into their instant attraction. But Byron is from New York and won't be here forever, and Rosey is finding herself wanting to stay in this town where she's feeling the warmth of welcome that she never felt before.
Byron too has his demons, and has come here to start over in a way. Will his small hometown welcome him, or shut him out? Right now it's not looking so positive - he's having trouble recruiting locals to come to work at his new, members-only resort. But then this sweet ray of sunshine stumbles into this town, wearing a wedding dress no less, looking a little lost. He wants to give her everything, if she'd let him. Yes, he's her new boss, temporary landlord, but they can work around those things. But can they work around their timing? Around his demons and hers?
Byron is about the sweetest, least billionaire-ish, billionaire, ever. The way he fell so hard for Rosey, and just wanted her to find herself and realize her own dreams, without trying to control her or bulldoze her, was just so damn beautiful. Most billionaires in romance now are alphaholes, womanizers, with the emotional IQs of a child. That Byron is none of those is a breath of fresh air. Not that I don't love me an emotionally unavailable manwhore billionaire, because I definitely do, but it's really nice to find one who's different. And Rosey deserved a sweetheart like Byron, because she too had a terrible childhood and had suffered for it, but still had this beautiful soul. I adored these two together, the way they found each other, found their one. Byron's got a bunch of friends, and Rosey's got some sisters, all who I really, really hope get their own stories to come.
