Review: Last Chance Seduction (Montgomery Ink Legacy #9) by Carrie Ann Ryan

Last Chance Seduction (Montgomery Ink Legacy #9) by Carrie Ann Ryan is NOW LIVE!

https://geni.us/LastChanceSedChoice

Tropes inside:

fake relationship
forced proximity
holiday romance

The last time I saw Lexington Montgomery, he held my sister in his arms as my fiancé left me at the altar.

Neither one of us knew it would be two years until we saw each other again. Or that it would be the last time my sister was part of our core group.

Grieving, I’m back in Colorado trying to start over. I have no family and have no intention of dating ever again.

Only fate has other plans because Lexington Montgomery is my new neighbor.

I want to stay away from him, but there’s no chance of that now. Especially when his ex shows up to rub her new husband—and the chance at his dream job—in his face.

I didn’t mean to do it, but now I’m Lex’s fake girlfriend over the holidays and there’s nothing fake about the attraction between us.

Except once we finally give in, it turns out the past I ran from wasn’t so far away after all. And the dangers we never saw coming might end what we have—fake or not—before we even have a chance.

**Last Chance Seduction is a fake relationship, forced proximity, holiday romance in the Montgomery Ink Legacy series featuring Lexington and Mercy. Each book can be read as a complete standalone. An HEA is guaranteed!**

Lexington Montgomery is Beckett and Eliza’s son from Inked Obsession.

MY REVIEW

The last person Mercy expected to see next door was her ex's friend, and her own old friend, Lexington. When her ex dumped her and her sister was diagnosed with cancer, Mercy closed off her old life, which meant no more friendships with people like Lex. But now she's here trying to start over, when he walks into her life and doesn't want to leave. She can't help herself coming to his rescue either, when his ex tries to show him up. And now they're faking a relationship they don't have, so Lex can close the deal he's been eyeing. But all this faking is bringing up feelings she never thought she'd have for her old friend. Is it possible Lex feels the same?

Lex always wondered how Mercy was doing, after she left with her sister and didn't keep in touch with anyone. He hoped deep inside his heart where his true feelings for her lay, that she was living a life full of the happiness she deserved. So imagine his surprise when he finds out his new neighbor is Mercy, and she seems very unhappy to see him and all the noise his construction crew is bringing her. But that old Mercy, the one with a genuine heart, is still there, and she comes to his rescue when his horrible ex dangles his dream job in front of him. He's going to use this fake relationship now to claim her, the one thing he wanted to do the first time he lay eyes on her, before her ex called dibs.

I love the Montgomery clan, and Lex is part of why. He is such a sweetheart, always with a laugh and taking care of everyone else before himself, but hiding insecurities that had him questioning himself far too often. Mercy is the perfect person for him with her compassionate but bruised heart. It's no wonder he fell for her the first time he saw her, they just took a long, circuitous route to get to their happy. Mercy and Lex's old friends to lovers has all the feels, intense chemistry and the sweetest HEA, it has me really impatient for the next Montgomery's love story - Brooklyn falls in love with Reece in Kiss Me Forever.

Review: Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette (American Revolutionary Tales 2) by Regina Kammer

Review of Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette by Regina Kammer Captain Samuel Taylor and Lieutenant Patrick Hamilton recall their first steamy encounter, which was a MFM threesome in a brothel. It morphed into more and now the two are contemplating their futures with the women they love, and their futures with each other. If you think times are hard for the LGBT community now, think of how hard they were during the American Revolution. Winter Interlude is well developed, which is surprising given its short length. I am so interested in knowing what is to become of Samuel and Patrick's forbidden relationship. Do they stay together? Or do they go their separate ways, and live out their lives with their women? Now that they've admitted their love for each other, how impossible would it be for them to be without each other? I have to know, now! If you like MM fiction and/or historical fiction, I highly recommend you give Winter Interlude a read. It...
