BLURB
I might be the only person not obsessed with Simon Luckwood, famous actor and the newest resident of my little hometown.

I don’t trust the way he’s always smiling. No one smiles that much.

And I’m clearly missing something, because I don’t get why the character Simon played on his weird hit TV show is so popular.

But revenge is a dish best served cold, just like the dishes on the menu at the restaurant my ex stole from me. So, when Simon feels guilty enough about his twin teenage boys accidentally getting me arrested that he wants to take me out on an apology date?

I see a perfect opportunity to get mine.

One night, one date, one very loud public scene at my ex’s grand opening, and then I can wash my hands of men forever.

That’s exactly how it has to go. Because my life can’t handle one more plot twist…

MY REVIEW

Bea's finally in a place where she can do her thing after having raised her brothers after their parents passed. She's trying her best, but landing in jail isn't exactly helping her get her food truck off the ground. But thanks to the father of the little brats who caused her to be in this predicament, she's about to get some much deserved revenge. And a whole lot more when Simon's delicious British accent and his golden retriever charms start getting to her ...

Simon and Bea are one of the cutest, funniest pair of opposites that I've ever read. She may have been using him to get revenge on her disgusting ex, but it was inevitable that they'd become much more than just a fake date. She's got the sharp edges, he's got the loveable, awkward at times persona, and they were perfect for each other. Their banter was snarky comedy at its best, their chemistry was fire, and their found family vibes were heartwarming and sweet. I always love Pippa's writing, and this time, I love it even more - these two are probably my favorite Pippa couple yet.

Review: One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti

Review of One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti ONE LITTLE LIE Hollis is a good girl with a crush on a broody musician. Unfortunately, that boy, Adam, hates her. Why? Because the chip on his shoulder leaves him thinking good girl, rich girl Hollis is a lemming like everyone else in their small town. Which makes it even more unfortunate when years after their high school encounter, Hollis' best friend tries to stick up for her and ends up telling her parents that Adam is the the boyfriend Hollis doesn't actually have. Oops. How will Hollis ever convince Adam to go along with her little lie? I really liked One Little Lie. Hollis is a really naive girl, but she has such a huge heart that I couldn't help but fall in love with her spirit. She's so sweet, so compassionate, the kind of person this world needs more of. Adam, on the other hand, eh, he didn't do much for me. His chip on the shoulder, broody asshole attitude did nothing to endear me to him, but because H...

Coming back to my small Wyoming hometown was supposed to be temporary. I only planned to stay long enough to help my ailing mother and sort through the mess of my family’s old belongings. Instead, I somehow ended up living in Evan Ricci’s house. The single dad now owned a bunch of properties and one of them was the place I’d rented. He’d taken it off the market and moved in before I got there. I just never got the memo. Unfortunately, there was no other place in town available, so Evan let me stay. Evan—the guy my parents took in years a...
