Blurb
I'm pretty sure I'm having a midlife crisis.

I started my career in adult entertainment at eighteen, and now, at almost forty, I'm realizing my days in front of the camera are numbered. It's the only reason I agreed to a collab with a guy who's brand new to the industry...and fifteen years younger than me.

I've been doing this a long time, and I've worked with a lot of guys, but I didn't expect the actual ray of sunshine that turned up on my doorstep. Riley is everything I'm not: young, self-assured, green. I've always been alone, because it's easy to avoid hurt if there's no one around to disappoint you. But one collab with Riley has me wanting to open up my life to him...and maybe even my heart.

The Resilience of Stars is a fast burn spice, slow burn love MM romance between two unconventional coworkers with a guaranteed happily ever after.

MY REVIEW

Luke is sort of at a crossroads. He knows his days are numbered in front of the camera, but he's not sure what to do about it. Then a younger ray of sunshine named Riley comes into his life and for awhile things are looking up. He and Riley form a fast friendship with feelings evolving. But Luke's damaged inside, and has issues he's never come to terms with. If he wants to be with Riley, he has to become the man Riley deserves, and that will take a lot of work on his part.

Riley had to come to California to live out his dreams. But even in those dreams, he didn't think he'd end up not only collaborating with Luke Larson, but be in a relationship with him also. It's so easy being with him - they've settled into a routine that feels like a future. But hidden behind Luke's easygoing demeanor and beautiful eyes is pain that's manifesting in distressing ways. Riley's not sure he can be with him like this, but is walking away really something he can do?

Riley and Luke fit together so seamlessly, until they don't. But things had to come to a head inevitably, and when they did - ouch. It was painful but worth it when the heartfelt end came around. I absolutely fell in love with this couple, their love story, their insane chemistry and their beautiful connection. I don't know what this new author has in store for us next, but I'll be reading it as soon as it's released because this debut novel is amazing.

Review: One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti

Review of One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti ONE LITTLE LIE Hollis is a good girl with a crush on a broody musician. Unfortunately, that boy, Adam, hates her. Why? Because the chip on his shoulder leaves him thinking good girl, rich girl Hollis is a lemming like everyone else in their small town. Which makes it even more unfortunate when years after their high school encounter, Hollis' best friend tries to stick up for her and ends up telling her parents that Adam is the the boyfriend Hollis doesn't actually have. Oops. How will Hollis ever convince Adam to go along with her little lie? I really liked One Little Lie. Hollis is a really naive girl, but she has such a huge heart that I couldn't help but fall in love with her spirit. She's so sweet, so compassionate, the kind of person this world needs more of. Adam, on the other hand, eh, he didn't do much for me. His chip on the shoulder, broody asshole attitude did nothing to endear me to him, but because H...

Title: The Challenge: A Single Dad Romance Author: Penelope Ward Genre: Standalone Contemporary Romance Tropes: Single Dad, Second Chance, Forced Proximity Friends to Lovers, Small Town, Found Family Release Date: August 30, 2026 BLURB From New York Times bestselling author Penelope Ward comes a new, STANDALONE contemporary romance… Nothing says welcome home like accidentally moving in with your first heartbreak…and his little girl. Coming back to my small Wyoming hometown was supposed to be temporary. I only planned to stay long enough to help my ailing mother and sort through the mess of my family’s old belongings. Instead, I somehow ended up living in Evan Ricci’s house. The single dad now owned a bunch of properties and one of them was the place I’d rented. He’d taken it off the market and moved in before I got there. I just never got the memo. Unfortunately, there was no other place in town available, so Evan let me stay. Evan—the guy my parents took in years a...
