MY REVIEW

Loch's been in love with his friend's daughter Alena for years, but has never told anyone. Now he's been assigned to protect her without her knowing. How is he supposed to protect Alena and not let on that he's been in love with her for so long? And how is he supposed to keep his hands off her?

Alena's a confident park ranger who thinks she knows her world. Then Loch comes roaring in and things aren't the same. She's falling for the inked up man, but he's holding a huge secret(s). And when she finds out those secrets, will she forgive him and accept her place in the world she didn't know existed? She's a not Mafia princess and could ascend to Queen with Loch as her King, if she can find it in her heart to forgive him and her father and all his brothers for lying to her all these years.

I've been wondering about Loch's backstory and how he'd be when he fell in love. Little did I know he was already in love, he just hadn't claimed his Queen yet. The way he did claim her is so sweet that I absolutely swooned. Loch the baby lion with a tender heart only for his Babygirl, and Alena the badass with an equally tender heart just took the top spot in this series for me. Kelly's not called the Queen of Spice for nothing, and their scenes are truly hot, what with him being a pleasure Dom and all, but it's their tender moments, the way he's been in love with Alena forever, and the way she falls in love with him that made me love them so much. This not-Mafia Mafia world is so intriguing, and I can't wait to keep reading as each of them finds their Queen and falls in love.
