Blurb
This was supposed to be a simple bargain…
Falling in love wasn’t part of the plan.

I know better than to trust powerful men—especially one whose world is built on secrets and careful control.
He wanted a way to get close to me. I only wanted to keep my distance.
But someone out there is watching us. Waiting to destroy everything I’ve fought to keep safe.
Now the only person standing between me and ruin is one I can’t dare to trust…the man who makes me believe in stolen kisses, whispered promises, and moments that feel too much like forever.
Walking away will keep us safe.
But some risks are impossible to ignore…even when the cost could be everything.

From the USA Today Bestselling author of Bad Billionaires, Elise Faber, comes a brand new billionaire series! These protective, possessive businessmen fall hard and fast for the women they love…and then never let them go.

This is the final book in the Oak Ridge Vineyards series.

MY REVIEW

I can't believe we're at the last of the Oak Ridge Vineyards series. It's Thorn and River's love story, one full of shadowy secrets, pain, and every emotion on the spectrum. Thorn has a horrific past, and it's made him wary, insecure, not trusting that he can be good for the one he pines for - River. But he underestimates River and how willing she is to stand by him, to fight for him, for their love.

Throughout this series, the Lyons have been a menace, and finally here in Thorn's story, we get an epic, satisfying ending to their presence. Thorn has very dubious ties to them, and it's these ties that gave Thorn his insecurities that he'd never be the man for River, that she'd be horrified by his past. I wanted to hug the poor man when he finally opened up to her, let her see what he thought would make her turn away from him. Thank God she was a lot stronger than he realized, that her love for him was stronger than he knew. I love this series, all the suspense and the shadowy pasts, and that each couple found love with their forever partners. Though I'm bummed this amazing series is at its end, Elise saved the best for last. Thorn's complicated, troubled past gave him a vulnerability not always seen in billionaire romances, and in River we get a beautiful, strong heroine with her own painful past, who stood strong for her man. Yes, this is sadly the end to an amazing series, but I know a new series is coming, with a complicated figure we've seen throughout this series, and I cannot wait!

Review: Waiting for You by Kate McBrien

Review of Waiting for You by Kate McBrien Justin and Lucy are apart, but for how long? Lucy's staying with her parents, but knows she needs to get out and start living her life again. But when she gets a chance to go to London, it just may be her chance to reunite with the man whose soul has been entwined with hers for centuries upon centuries. But first, our two fated lovers will have to not only reunite, but stay together, beat the odds and the people and/or forces who are trying to keep them apart. Waiting for You is a great followup to Discovering You. Justin and Lucy's story is exciting and passionate, and the mystical/fantasy/paranormal aspect just adds another interesting layer to their already wonderful connection. I normally don't read a lot of paranormal/fantasy/sci-fi romance anymore, but I loved it here in Waiting for You. It's subtle, but ever present and as I said, just makes their story all the more intriguing. I can't wait for the conclusio...
