BLURB
Miles, Lord Burlington, has a plan – return to the top spot as the world’s best polo player.

Oh, and get revenge on the guy who nearly killed him.

Ruby Lanson has simpler ambitions – become a polo player. So far she’s not doing well, and her future is an opaque vision of life as a groom, fighting off handsy patrons.

When Miles Burlington charges into her Colorado stable, first impressions aren’t good. She’s less enamored of his status than he feels she should be, and places him firmly in the category of entitled billionaire.

He’s vowed to do whatever it takes to reach his goal. If offering Ruby a job at Foxleigh Park is the price to pay, then sobeit. For Ruby, this is the opportunity she never expected, and jumps at the chance before she can think twice. Or worse, linger on Miles’s blue eyes and deep dimples.

Except visa complications means there’s only one solution.

Because what’s the big deal? It’s a season playing polo in England, and annulments happen every day.

But the longer Ruby lives with Miles, the quicker she realizes he’s not who she thought he was. While Miles begins to think this marriage malarkey might be something he could get behind.
As the season progresses, matches are won and truths become known, Ruby and Miles soon have a decision to make. . .

MY REVIEW

Miles wants to get back to the number 1 position in the polo world. To do that, he needs Ruby. To get her, he needs to marry her, because it's not possible to get her a work visa in the short amount of time they have before the polo season starts. For a renowned playboy, marriage isn't going to be easy. Or will it? Because he's finding that what started as enemies to fake marriage is quickly starting to feel real. Miles isn't who she had thought, and her walls are lowering because of it.

Ruby thinks a lot less of Lord Miles than women usually do, than he wishes she did. Rich playboys don't do it for her. Except maybe this guy, her new boss and new fake husband, isn't really who she had thought. She's starting to see the real man behind the facade, and she's falling hard. Their marriage is supposed to have an expiration date, but the longer they're married, the more they both are seeing forever together.

This series keeps getting better with every couple. I love Miles and Ruby, they are so good together. They start as soft enemies, but all the close proximity means they quickly get to know who the other truly is, and can't help but fall for each other in the process. I want to live in Valentine Nook, with all the Burlingtons and the people they love.

Review: One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti

Review of One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti ONE LITTLE LIE Hollis is a good girl with a crush on a broody musician. Unfortunately, that boy, Adam, hates her. Why? Because the chip on his shoulder leaves him thinking good girl, rich girl Hollis is a lemming like everyone else in their small town. Which makes it even more unfortunate when years after their high school encounter, Hollis' best friend tries to stick up for her and ends up telling her parents that Adam is the the boyfriend Hollis doesn't actually have. Oops. How will Hollis ever convince Adam to go along with her little lie? I really liked One Little Lie. Hollis is a really naive girl, but she has such a huge heart that I couldn't help but fall in love with her spirit. She's so sweet, so compassionate, the kind of person this world needs more of. Adam, on the other hand, eh, he didn't do much for me. His chip on the shoulder, broody asshole attitude did nothing to endear me to him, but because H...
