Review of Definition of Stripped by Lia Peele



When Scarlett meets someone from her past, it throws her. Dev was the teenage son of her ex, the ex she left 6 years ago when he cheated on her. Paul was a horrible father, a horrible person, really, and Scarlett just couldn't be with him any longer. Scarlett didn't want to leave Dev, who is only a few years younger than she, but for her sanity she had to leave. Now 6 years later, Dev's back in her life, and he wants her. He's always wanted her. And Scarlett wants him, too. But, can she have him? Should she let herself have him? She knows she shouldn't, especially when his "occupations" come to light, but she just can't seem to help herself. Her mind and body love Dev, and love isn't logical.

The ending leaves things open to interpretation. I wouldn't really call it a HFN ending, definitely not a HEA, but things are left on a hopeful note. I definitely cannot wait to read Definition of Craving and Definition of Redemption now!

Review of Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette by Regina Kammer Captain Samuel Taylor and Lieutenant Patrick Hamilton recall their first steamy encounter, which was a MFM threesome in a brothel. It morphed into more and now the two are contemplating their futures with the women they love, and their futures with each other. If you think times are hard for the LGBT community now, think of how hard they were during the American Revolution. Winter Interlude is well developed, which is surprising given its short length. I am so interested in knowing what is to become of Samuel and Patrick's forbidden relationship. Do they stay together? Or do they go their separate ways, and live out their lives with their women? Now that they've admitted their love for each other, how impossible would it be for them to be without each other? I have to know, now!
