Review: HOOPS Holiday: A HOOPS Novella by Kennedy Ryan

Review of HOOPS Holiday: A HOOPS Novella by Kennedy Ryan

Full Court Press

Apparently this was originally included in the TEAM PLAYER Anthology, but I didn't get a chance to read it back then. I'm really glad I got to read it now, though, because it's fabulous!!

Mackenzie Decker (Deck) is a rookie NBA player in his second year when he first meets Avery, a sports reporter. When his towel accidentally drops while she's interviewing him, let's just say it doesn't leave Avery with a very good impression. Years later, after she's moved up in the sports reporting ranks and Deck has retired from playing, their reunion isn't anymore positive than their last meeting. If Deck has anything to say about it, though, this will be a very good partnership indeed!

But Avery isn't in the emotional or mental state for what Deck has in mind for the two of them. She's experienced something that most people will never, should never, experience, and it's scarred her and closed her heart off from love and emotion. Will Deck be able to give her the time, the space, she needs before she's fully able to go to him and give herself to him fully?

I absolutely loved Full Court Press!! It's a sweet, emotional, sexy holiday read with much more depth than the average fluffy holiday romance. It reads like a full length novel rather than a short story or novella. Avery and Deck are perfect together once they finally are able to be a couple. Kennedy Ryan never fails to deliver sexy, emotionally substantial reads, and Full Court Press is one of her best. I'm so looking forward to more of the Hoops series and more in general from her.

My book boyfriends go with me everywhere. I prefer them tall, dark, and handsome, but I don’t discriminate. They sweep me off my feet and are always there when I need them—in my purse, in my car, and even in my bathtub. Book boyfriends may not be real, but at least they won’t break my heart… or get another girl pregnant. I don’t do relationships. I get one whiff and run in the opposite direction. It took me seven years to mend my broken heart, and I’m not about to hand it over again. That’s why I can’t fall for Beckett. With his Clark Kent glasses and brooding stare, he’s a superhero in disguise. And his superpower? Melting panties with a single ...

Review: Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette (American Revolutionary Tales 2) by Regina Kammer

Review of Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette by Regina Kammer Captain Samuel Taylor and Lieutenant Patrick Hamilton recall their first steamy encounter, which was a MFM threesome in a brothel. It morphed into more and now the two are contemplating their futures with the women they love, and their futures with each other. If you think times are hard for the LGBT community now, think of how hard they were during the American Revolution. Winter Interlude is well developed, which is surprising given its short length. I am so interested in knowing what is to become of Samuel and Patrick's forbidden relationship. Do they stay together? Or do they go their separate ways, and live out their lives with their women? Now that they've admitted their love for each other, how impossible would it be for them to be without each other? I have to know, now! If you like MM fiction and/or historical fiction, I highly recommend you give Winter Interlude a read. It...
