Review: The Marriage Bargain: A Marriage of Convenience Romance (A Love So Sweet Novel Book 4) by Mia Porter

Review of The Marriage Bargain: A Marriage of Convenience Romance (A Love So Sweet Novel Book 4) by Mia Porter

7-year-old Andrew is ecstatic that his penpal is coming to visit because "He wanted her for a mom, to take care of him and his dad and bake cookies on rainy days. ... Now all he had to do was get his dad to fall in love with her." A piece of cake, right? Not, though, because Kane has a huge, life-altering secret that when Megan finds out, will completely change her view of him. Or so he thinks...

Megan is already in love with the inspiration for her children's books, and feels as if she already knows Andrew's father, Kane. She wasn't prepared for her visceral reaction to the gorgeous grump, though. And when a marriage plan is hatched, will she be able to keep her heart intact or will the secret Kane so jealously guards be the thing that tears them apart?

I absolutely loved this sweet little gem of a read. It's an old work of a favorite author of mine, using a pen name, and it's clean reading, but the themes in it are timeless and the characters are so relatable and lovable, especially little Andrew. I loved this story so much that I plan on going back and reading all the stories in this series.

Review: Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette (American Revolutionary Tales 2) by Regina Kammer

Review of Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette by Regina Kammer Captain Samuel Taylor and Lieutenant Patrick Hamilton recall their first steamy encounter, which was a MFM threesome in a brothel. It morphed into more and now the two are contemplating their futures with the women they love, and their futures with each other. If you think times are hard for the LGBT community now, think of how hard they were during the American Revolution. Winter Interlude is well developed, which is surprising given its short length. I am so interested in knowing what is to become of Samuel and Patrick's forbidden relationship. Do they stay together? Or do they go their separate ways, and live out their lives with their women? Now that they've admitted their love for each other, how impossible would it be for them to be without each other? I have to know, now! If you like MM fiction and/or historical fiction, I highly recommend you give Winter Interlude a read. It...
