Blog Tour: She’s a Spitfire (Tough Love Book 2) by Chloe Liese

She’s a Spitfire
Chloe Liese
(Tough Love #2)
Publication date: June 24th 2019
Genres: Adult, Romance, Suspense
One fiery-haired, sexy scientist finds her perfect complement in a dark and handsome soccer star. Opposites attract, and they’ve got chemistry that’s explosive—literally.
Physics calls it entropy. Philosophy calls it Murphy’s Law: If something can go wrong, eventually it will. Professionally and personally speaking, Zed’s familiar with the principle. After a decade of trying to alter the atomic makeup of the mafia from its nucleus, now he’s set on leaving The Life and pursuing his heart. Problem is, the sassy, hot-headed spitfire he can’t quit is meddling in his slow burn escape plan, and turning it into full-on combustion.
Not to mention, Nairne’s got a painful history she won’t talk about and more secrets than she has lab instruments—which is really saying something. In an ideal world, the bad boy footballer would follow the brainy beauty overseas and they’d live happily ever after. But Murphy’s Law is proven true, as Zed finds his world imploding and his escape plan foiled. These enemies turned lovers end up discovering how costly it can be to meet the right person at the wrong time.
A present he can’t escape.
A past she can’t forget.
A future they won’t stop fighting for.
They say all’s fair in love…and war.
Book Two in the Tough Love Series—an enemies to lovers, suspenseful romance, full of sexy Italians, feisty heroines, globe-trotting action, and an ending that’ll both satisfy you and leave you ready for more!

EXCERPT

“You seem distant lately. Do you…” I cleared my throat because it pained me to say it. “Do you need some space?”

As far as Nairne knew, I had an eventual plan to get out of my life here, but no immediate steps available to me yet. She would nose her way in to try to help and insinuate herself dangerously, of that I was positive, so I had to keep her outside of my agenda. Did she sense distance on my end because of that? Or did she need distance from me as preparation for her imminent and inevitable departure?

Her shoulders dropped. “Zed, no. I don’t want that one bit. I’ve been preoccupied, that’s all. Please don’t read into it.”

The amount of relief that answer gave me felt incredibly irrational. I smiled and kissed her palm. Then I slid her hair behind her ear. Slipped my hand down her neck until my fingers dipped into her blouse.

“Zed!” She playfully smacked my hand away, but I grabbed her fingers, held them down on the table. Brought my other hand back to the edge of her top where light met darkness, milky skin against sheer black.

“Matt was staring at your tits.”

She rolled her eyes. “I know, but you’re not punishing me for that, you brute. Go punch his lights out if you need to indulge your inner caveman.”

I smiled as I traced the sine waves of her breasts with the pads of my fingers. Swell, then dip, then swell. Back and forth. “I debated it, but he’s actually not as bad a writer as I first thought. Finding a new one would be a pain.”

Her skin was warming up, glowing like it did when I revved her engine. She licked her lips and squirmed a little as she glanced from the door to me. “Someone could walk in.”

“Who fucking cares, Nairne.” I dipped my head, kissed her hard. I’d been gone all weekend travelling for a game, and forty-eight hours of minimal texts from her and not being inside her had pushed my limits. “You need to cut class, I need to skip practice, and we need about five hours in the sunroom.”

She shook her head, even as she opened wider and sucked my tongue the way she sucked my cock—like a freaking prodigy. “Can’t. Meeting with my thesis advisor. You can’t either.”

I groaned and pressed my forehead against hers. “This is terrible. One of us needs to be less disciplined. More impulsive.”

“I don’t know about that. I think our mutual stringency leads to mighty pleasurable things, Zed. Lose that, and what kind of love life would we have?”

I took her jaw, kissed her again, then let her go. “An exceptionally compliant one. What’s the problem with that?”

Nairne threw her bag on her back and led the way. “The problem would be that for all your tough talk, Salvatore, you’d be woefully bored. You’d miss my intractability.”

I grinned as I held the door for her. Tony called my name. Nairne turned, seeing I would be stuck for the time being, then waved goodbye. I watched her turn down the sidewalk and disappear. She was going to do that for good soon, and she was right—when she did, I was going to miss the hell out of her.

Author Bio
Chloe’s always been a sucker for a suspenseful steamy romance, ever since she managed to find the one saucy mystery series hiding in her high school’s prim little library. Nothing drives her crazier than a story that cranks up the heat, then closes the door on the reader’s face, so don’t read her books if you don’t want to know what actually happens when the lights fade to black…
When she’s not writing, Chloe’s busy reading books of all genres, rereading Harry Potter (which she can’t help but make her characters similarly obsessed over), and playing catch-up with her bad@$$ little girls. She’s also been known to scramble around the pitch for a pick-up soccer match and run along the river while dreaming up her next book.

Review: Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette (American Revolutionary Tales 2) by Regina Kammer

Review of Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette by Regina Kammer Captain Samuel Taylor and Lieutenant Patrick Hamilton recall their first steamy encounter, which was a MFM threesome in a brothel. It morphed into more and now the two are contemplating their futures with the women they love, and their futures with each other. If you think times are hard for the LGBT community now, think of how hard they were during the American Revolution. Winter Interlude is well developed, which is surprising given its short length. I am so interested in knowing what is to become of Samuel and Patrick's forbidden relationship. Do they stay together? Or do they go their separate ways, and live out their lives with their women? Now that they've admitted their love for each other, how impossible would it be for them to be without each other? I have to know, now! If you like MM fiction and/or historical fiction, I highly recommend you give Winter Interlude a read. It...
