HURT ME

"He's feeling and beauty and eroticism and music all wrapped into a broken, sexy-as-sin-boy."

Xavi is hurting. He's lost. He needs something to take away the pain and the guilt he feels about his best friend's overdose. He's spiraling and on his way down, until Blaine steps in, knowing what Xavi needs. The question is, will Xavi allow Blaine to give Xavi what he so desperately needs?

"He's got me all caught up in him, snared by his achingly defined beauty and tortured soul-the desperate need he has to be rescued. That's what I fucking do.

Blaine has been scraping Xavi up and bailing him out of the trouble he's been getting into for long enough that Blaine knows Xavi is just crying out for help. He sees through Xavi's bratty behavior and wants so desperately to give him the punishment Xavi needs and deserves. But it's not until Xavi messes up so badly that a trip out of town is called for by Roan (from Daddy Me), Blaine's best friend and owner of Xavi's record label, that they're able to spend some alone time together. Will Xavi let Blaine in once they're far away from the real world?

"He's given me the softest parts of him and trusted me to take care of him. He's my boy. He'll always be my boy."

I have to say, Hurt Me was not quite what I was expecting. But that's not bad, in fact, it's very good. I was expecting something less substantial, some fluffy erotica. I wasn't expecting Xavi to have so much pain, be such a three-dimensional character. I felt so badly for him. His guilt and shame were a bit painful to read, but I love that big, bad Blaine was the one to take away those destructive feelings. These two are freaking FIRE together!!! Yes, Hurt Me is super freakin' hot and a bit kinky, but it also has depth and heart. Blaine and Xavi are perfect together, and perfect for each other.

"Together, we fit. We're fucking perfect. I don't have to prove it to the world, just him."

Review: Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette (American Revolutionary Tales 2) by Regina Kammer

Review of Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette by Regina Kammer Captain Samuel Taylor and Lieutenant Patrick Hamilton recall their first steamy encounter, which was a MFM threesome in a brothel. It morphed into more and now the two are contemplating their futures with the women they love, and their futures with each other. If you think times are hard for the LGBT community now, think of how hard they were during the American Revolution. Winter Interlude is well developed, which is surprising given its short length. I am so interested in knowing what is to become of Samuel and Patrick's forbidden relationship. Do they stay together? Or do they go their separate ways, and live out their lives with their women? Now that they've admitted their love for each other, how impossible would it be for them to be without each other? I have to know, now! If you like MM fiction and/or historical fiction, I highly recommend you give Winter Interlude a read. It...
