Review: Cross Crease (On The Edge Book 3) by Elizabeth Hartey
Heaven has been in love with her older brother, Dak's fellow hockey player friend, Damon Wolfe, for years. She's also been his friend for years. So you'd think he'd do her this one tiny favor and relieve her of her v card. But nope, he won't do it, for various reasons. But one drunken night later and boom, there ya go, problem taken care of. Can these two figure out a way to be together without the world getting in the way?
Cross Crease is such enjoyable reading. I adored Heaven - she's got such a huge, compassionate heart and her love for wayward animals was to be admired. At times I wanted to shake her for putting up with Damon's bs, but at the same time, I admired her for her loyalty and her loving nature. And I knew that his behavior just stemmed from his horrible childhood. Still...she so deserved to be treated like a queen and he at times didn't treat her that way, and it infuriated me. I loved their journey though, from friends to more, much more. Though this is the first of this series that I've read, you can bet that after having read and loved this one, I will be on the lookout for more from Elizabeth and this hockey series.
