Sierra's just a kid, a teenager, when she starts writing to Gabriel, a soldier deployed overseas. They write back and forth for years, becoming so much to each other. And then one day the letters stop coming and Sierra just knew in her heart that meant something was seriously wrong.
Gabriel's reality while deployed was harsh and brutal, but Sierra's letters brought him a semblance of home, some kind of light. She had come to mean so much to him, so much that she had no idea.
