Rowen for so long has let his rigid control of his emotions be his routine. Then a beautiful, bright ray of sunshine named Penny comes into his and his niece's lives and turns everything upside down and inside out. Suddenly he's distracted and not only focusing on his work, his beloved gaming company. Will he continue to allow her to show him the path to spontaneity and openness? Or will he push her away and revert back to his cold, robotic behavior when a disaster happens at the office?
The Nanny and the Nerd is a fun, lighthearted read. I loved Penny and her circle of friends, and Phoebe stole the show in every scene. Rowen was a lot less likable for me with his cold, rigid ways, but the women in the story were awesome enough to make up for his less than warm presence. Though this isn't particularly deep, it's entertaining, steamy and well written.
