Review / Release Blitz: Dr. Perfect (Doctors #2) by Louise Bay

DR. PERFECT
Louise Bay
Release Date: April 20

A boss, his assistant, a snowstorm and just one bed. What could go wrong?

They call him Dr. Perfect.

I call him Dr. Aloof, Dr. Arrogant, Dr. If-you're-going-to-fire-me-just-get-it-over-with.

If I had other options, I'd quit, but I need this job. Badly. So I jump at the chance to impress him by hand-delivering some important documents.

Yes, he's staying on a remote Scottish Island, but I've got it covered...

Until the ferry back is cancelled, there are no hotels on the island and there's a storm headed our way.

So I'm snowed in with my impossibly handsome boss, who barely knows my name, in a tiny one-bedroom cottage in the middle of nowhere.

But unlike the snow outside, his icy stare is beginning to melt and we don't need a generator to keep it warm inside.

MY REVIEW

Ellie's found a new, if temporary, job that should help her save for her dream. She didn't expect to walk into the doctor's office and find...nothing. Her new boss hasn't given her anything to do, hasn't even really acknowledged that she's his new assistant. What kind of doctor doesn't have patients? Doesn't have lots of work for his new assistant?

Zach may be a doctor but he doesn't really want to be. His real passion lay with writing. He's got a new office and a new assistant, but isn't into it, at all. He is, however, into his new sassy, gorgeous assistant. He doesn't acknowledge it, though, until a forced confines situation pops up. Now he and Ellie are involved and he's falling fast. But she's keeping him at a distance thanks to her past relationship that did so much damage to her self image. How can he convince her that he wants more? That they can have it all?

Zach and Ellie are one of those couples I just immediately related to. There's something so likable and real about them individually with their own insecurities and demons, and as a couple they're even more likable when they show their emotions, their hearts, to each other.

They sweep me off my feet and are always there when I need them—in my purse, in my car, and even in my bathtub. Book boyfriends may not be real, but at least they won’t break my heart… or get another girl pregnant. I don’t do relationships. I get one whiff and run in the opposite direction. It took me seven years to mend my broken heart, and I’m not about to hand it over again. That’s why I can’t fall for Beckett. With his Clark Kent glasses and brooding stare, he’s a superhero in disguise. And his superpower? Melting panties with a single ...

Review: Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette (American Revolutionary Tales 2) by Regina Kammer

Review of Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette by Regina Kammer Captain Samuel Taylor and Lieutenant Patrick Hamilton recall their first steamy encounter, which was a MFM threesome in a brothel. It morphed into more and now the two are contemplating their futures with the women they love, and their futures with each other. If you think times are hard for the LGBT community now, think of how hard they were during the American Revolution. Winter Interlude is well developed, which is surprising given its short length. I am so interested in knowing what is to become of Samuel and Patrick's forbidden relationship. Do they stay together? Or do they go their separate ways, and live out their lives with their women? Now that they've admitted their love for each other, how impossible would it be for them to be without each other? I have to know, now! If you like MM fiction and/or historical fiction, I highly recommend you give Winter Interlude a read. It...

This man's touch had me coming undone. Not only is he tall, brilliant, gorgeous, and sexy as sin, he left me wanting more. He haunts my fantasies until I read about him: Senator Bennett Stone. Armed with his name, I dig for the truth. Stone is from Atlanta and is independently wealthy. A billionaire. He's rumored to be the next vice president. Tasting forbidden fruit, I can't settle for the cloying secrecy of my family. Or their plans for me as a pawn who'll live in a gilded cage where women are expected to look beautiful and keep silent. I have to act fast. Thanks to a connection, Stone is my new boss. He's my ticket to freedom -- if he doesn't fire me on the spot when I reintroduce myself... Xavia Stillman Kennedy.
