BLURB
A small town, single dad, enemies to lovers romance.

Crawling back to this small town was never in hockey star Chase Woodson’s plans.
From hitting hockey pucks in front of thousands to selling urinal pucks at his father’s hardware store, coming back home is his worst nightmare.
But being a (newly) single dad of twin boys means making sacrifices. His boys need stability and his dad needs his help in the store.
Now he needs her.
Except, Chase has been the bane of Madison Kelly’s existence since high school.
She just so happens to be the only available nanny in town.
Besides, high school was ten years ago.
People don’t hold grudges that long, right?

MY REVIEW

Why does Chase's only choice for help have to be the one woman who hates him - Madison? He's still not sure what he ever did to Madison back in the day, but she's despised him for years. But he's back home now since finding his ex cheated on him with his teammate, and he's been let go, so he has to come home and take care of his dad and their hardware store. He needs a nanny for his kids, even if he doesn't like asking for help. If he's going to hire Madison, they need rules. And he's going to make damn sure they follow them!

Madison too is back home after experiencing a serious betrayal. The last person she wants or expects, to see, is her nemesis, Chase. But when he offers an obscene amount of money to nanny his kids, she has to accept, so she can get out of the mess her ex left her with. Chase says there are rules, she can abide by them, right? Or can she, when she realizes the misinformation she's been dealing with all these years?

One word - communication!!! Chase and Madison's relationship is filled with mis and non-communication, and I wanted to smack them both for it. But their chemistry is strong enough, beneath the surface of their antagonism, to get over these problems. I like this small town, enemies-ish to lovers story, and am definitely looking forward to the next couple to fall in love.

Review: One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti

Review of One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti ONE LITTLE LIE Hollis is a good girl with a crush on a broody musician. Unfortunately, that boy, Adam, hates her. Why? Because the chip on his shoulder leaves him thinking good girl, rich girl Hollis is a lemming like everyone else in their small town. Which makes it even more unfortunate when years after their high school encounter, Hollis' best friend tries to stick up for her and ends up telling her parents that Adam is the the boyfriend Hollis doesn't actually have. Oops. How will Hollis ever convince Adam to go along with her little lie? I really liked One Little Lie. Hollis is a really naive girl, but she has such a huge heart that I couldn't help but fall in love with her spirit. She's so sweet, so compassionate, the kind of person this world needs more of. Adam, on the other hand, eh, he didn't do much for me. His chip on the shoulder, broody asshole attitude did nothing to endear me to him, but because H...

Coming back to my small Wyoming hometown was supposed to be temporary. I only planned to stay long enough to help my ailing mother and sort through the mess of my family’s old belongings. Instead, I somehow ended up living in Evan Ricci’s house. The single dad now owned a bunch of properties and one of them was the place I’d rented. He’d taken it off the market and moved in before I got there. I just never got the memo. Unfortunately, there was no other place in town available, so Evan let me stay. Evan—the guy my parents took in years a...
