My new boss--Alexander Bane
Aptly named since he's the bane of my existence.
Please isn't in his vocabulary.
He grunts, growls, and demands.
If only he didn't look so sexy when doing so.
If only his mouth weren't so addictive when kissing mine.
He's quickly becoming my favorite boss.
Which is wrong.
My new assistant is an unwelcomed distraction.
Snarky, witty, always smiling.
Constantly putting me in my place.
Making me second-guess my decisions.
I dislike it. Intensely.
Unless I'm kissing her.
Then Magnolia Myers becomes my favorite person.
Which I hate.
Two people working together, disliking each other.
Until they don't.
Then the fun begins.
HR has never been so entertained.


MY REVIEW

Magnolia's new boss is the worst. He's grumpy, demanding, bossy, and never has a kind word of thanks or appreciation for all her hard work, for actually being able to put up with him. But so far she's the only one who's been able to handle him for longer than a few days, so they're stuck with each other. There's no way the two of them will ever be more than adversarial boss and employee, right?


Bane knows he's incapable of love. His horrible family taught him that. So why is his new assistant making him develop pesky feelings? She's warmth, she's sass, she's pure heart and loveliness, and he can't keep his hands to himself once he gets a taste of her. But will he be able to keep her when he doesn't do relationships and she's meant for the great kind of love everyone dreams of?


Grumpy/sunshine and hot boss vs sassy assistant?! Sign me up stat! I adored these two with their sassy, snarky banter, all the crazy situations HR kept catching them in that actually weren't what they seemed, the spicy chemistry, but most of all for the giant heart. I haven't laughed this much, or enjoyed a grumpy/sunshine office romance in a long time as I have with this adorable couple and their cat Hedgy.

Review of Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette by Regina Kammer Captain Samuel Taylor and Lieutenant Patrick Hamilton recall their first steamy encounter, which was a MFM threesome in a brothel. It morphed into more and now the two are contemplating their futures with the women they love, and their futures with each other. If you think times are hard for the LGBT community now, think of how hard they were during the American Revolution. Winter Interlude is well developed, which is surprising given its short length. I am so interested in knowing what is to become of Samuel and Patrick's forbidden relationship. Do they stay together? Or do they go their separate ways, and live out their lives with their women? Now that they've admitted their love for each other, how impossible would it be for them to be without each other? I have to know, now!
