Be loud. Lean in. Take your seat at the head of the table. I want the whole room to know that when my wife speaks, it’s time to sit down and listen.

Thanks to my reckless roommate, I’m about two skips away from being homeless. Temp jobs aren’t paying the bills, and now I have to cancel the scuba diving trip I can no longer afford.

At least I’ll be spared from my instructor’s tempting smile and rock-hard abs. Dex is wonderful, but he’s only ever treated me like a friend…a really good friend. In fact, when he hears I’m having money problems, he comes up with a way we can help each other.

In a clever scheme to ensure her jaded, love-doubting grandson didn’t end up alone, Dex’s grandma left her company to Dex’s…wife. Except he isn’t married. Until me, that is.

Now I’m suddenly the CEO and majority shareholder of a billion-dollar cruise corporation. I’m unprepared, and the sharks in the boardroom are scarier than the great whites in the water. But the plan is simple. Play the part for a year, hand the company back over to Dex, then get divorced. Easy. In exchange, I’ll never have to worry about money again.

But it’s not long before I realize the company is in danger and a lot of people need my help. And now that I’m acting like the boss, there’s a look in Dex’s eyes I’ve never seen before. Something more than friendly… Because when he calls me “wife” lately, it doesn't seem like it's for show.

MY REVIEW

Dex was banished to Vegas by his grandmother because she wanted him to take a break from the workaholic life he'd been leading. He's grateful because he meets Lennox and they become really good friends...but only friends. But she's really the only person he can think of who will help him when that same grandma's will stipulates he be married. He's not married right now, but surely his friend will marry him so he can he help keep his family empire from falling into the wrong hands?

Lennox isn't sure how to be the CEO of anything, definitely not her friend, now husband of convenience, Dex's family cruise empire. But she's slowly finding her way, and more importantly, falling in love with her fake husband. There's no way this ends anyway but badly, right? Or will she and Dex find their friendship was really just hiding their true feelings all this time?

Dex and Lennox are great together. Their connection is clear from the first time they meet, and I was definitely wondering how long it would take them in close proximity to realize they were never really only friends. I really loved Dex's character - sweet, seriously dirty in the best way, and so head over heels in love with his friend turned wife. Lennox is equally sweet but I have to admit I really questioned her naivete and the consequences of it. On the whole, though, this friends to lovers/marriage of convenience story is entertaining and sexy.

This man's touch had me coming undone. Not only is he tall, brilliant, gorgeous, and sexy as sin, he left me wanting more. He haunts my fantasies until I read about him: Senator Bennett Stone. Review: Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette (American Revolutionary Tales 2) by Regina Kammer

Review of Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette by Regina Kammer Captain Samuel Taylor and Lieutenant Patrick Hamilton recall their first steamy encounter, which was a MFM threesome in a brothel. It morphed into more and now the two are contemplating their futures with the women they love, and their futures with each other. If you think times are hard for the LGBT community now, think of how hard they were during the American Revolution. Winter Interlude is well developed, which is surprising given its short length. I am so interested in knowing what is to become of Samuel and Patrick's forbidden relationship. Do they stay together? Or do they go their separate ways, and live out their lives with their women? Now that they've admitted their love for each other, how impossible would it be for them to be without each other? I have to know, now! If you like MM fiction and/or historical fiction, I highly recommend you give Winter Interlude a read. It
