Blurb

Insulting my dream woman five minutes after the hottest hookup of my life was not how I thought today was going to go. From lovers to enemies, we find ourselves fighting more than making up. But man, when we do make up the whole house is on fire. Okay, so it's a cottage on the lake.

In the town I grew up in.

The same town I thought I left in my rearview when I answered New York City's siren call.

Now I'm back trying to figure out how I went from top of my game as a graphic novelist, to failing businessman.

Maybe the key to both is where I began.

Just when I started to get my feet under me, surprise! The hot hookup gave me a brand new project to explore. I just have to convince the woman of my dreams I'm not the nightmare she thinks I am.

And I have to learn how to write a happily ever after for all three of us.

Author's Note: Who knew pitting two authors against one another would cause so many sparks? The road to forever doesn't go smoothly when these two go from lovers to enemies, then back to lovers, but Penn Masterson is a goal-oriented guy, and Rita Savage is worth all the effort. Driven Daddy is a standalone romantic comedy with a happily-ever-after ending and no cliffhanger.

MY REVIEW

After a disastrous breakup with her writing partner, romance author Rita needs to start over, so moves to a quaint small town, Crescent Cove. Little does she know that not only is love waiting for her there, but the town is famous for its er magical waters that have its ranks overrun with surprise babies. She and Penn just may be the latest couple to drink that water, but they have their work cut out for them to overcome Penn's inadvertent insult right after their first sizzling encounter.

Penn may have accidentally insulted Rita right after their hookup, but he's going to spend the rest of his life making it up to her - if she'll let him. He's going to take every advantage he can to stay in her life, thank God for the town that seems to be saturated with very fertile vibes, because now he's got two people to love.

Two authors strangers turned lovers turned enemies back to lovers. What's not to love?! Rita is such a relatable character, someone whose heart had been broken and her trust destroyed by her former partner. Then she meets a man she connects with, then he insults her?! I just wanted to hug her, but she handled herself with grace and endears herself to not only Penn but his family and friends and everyone else in Crescent Cove. Their chemistry is positively sizzling, and Penn very deliciously manages to redeem himself with the woman he fell head over heels for. I love Crescent Cove, all the shenanigans, all the love, and the magical waters that bring them so many babies. I'm seriously excited for Travis to fall in love next, when Second Chance Baby releases.

Review: Waiting for You by Kate McBrien

Review of Waiting for You by Kate McBrien Justin and Lucy are apart, but for how long? Lucy's staying with her parents, but knows she needs to get out and start living her life again. But when she gets a chance to go to London, it just may be her chance to reunite with the man whose soul has been entwined with hers for centuries upon centuries. But first, our two fated lovers will have to not only reunite, but stay together, beat the odds and the people and/or forces who are trying to keep them apart. Waiting for You is a great followup to Discovering You. Justin and Lucy's story is exciting and passionate, and the mystical/fantasy/paranormal aspect just adds another interesting layer to their already wonderful connection. I normally don't read a lot of paranormal/fantasy/sci-fi romance anymore, but I loved it here in Waiting for You. It's subtle, but ever present and as I said, just makes their story all the more intriguing. I can't wait for the conclusio...
