Athanasios Pappakouris. Neurosurgeon. Greek. Arrogant. Sexy. Billionaire.

He’s the best at what he does, with the world at his feet—and now he’s decided the woman whose life he saved will be his wife.

“He saved my life, pulled me back from a coma—now he’s decided I belong to him.”

Billionaire Athanasios Pappakouris, the world’s foremost authority on neurosurgery and known as “God” in the medical community, has the world at his feet.

Sexy, famous, and revered wherever he goes, the Greek decides it’s finally time to start a family—the one thing missing from his life of victories.

When life puts Brooklyn Foster in his path—a young woman he’s saved by bringing her back from a deep coma—he knows his search is over.

The broken young woman is everything he desires: beautiful, sensual, sweet, and she sets his blood on fire.

The doctor embarks on an unrelenting plan of seduction, determined to make her his wife.

What he doesn’t expect, however, is how Brooklyn touches more than his body—she reaches his heart. What starts as a conquest strategy quickly transforms into a passion without limits.

Yet, their pasts soon resurface to put their love to the test.

Nothing is as it seems, and amid hidden enemies, lies, and betrayal, he vows that no matter how far he has to go, no one will ever hurt his woman again.

Note: The Arrogant's Surrender, book one of the Gods in White series, is a standalone. Each book can be read separately, but it’s likely that the next one will contain spoilers from the previous ones.

MY REVIEW

Athanasios is determined his new patient will come out of her coma. And once he sees her, he's determined she'll be his wife. Oh, not because he's in love with her or anything, but because he needs a wife and he wants her to be that wife. He's well known for being cold, unfeeling, and not capable or wanting, love. When Brooklyn wakes and he starts pursuing her, will he find his frozen heart thawing?

Waking up from a coma, Brooklyn wants to see her twins. What she gets at first is the cold voiced surgeon who practically baited her to wake up. She knows better than to burden herself with thoughts for this ruthless, unfeeling doctor nicknamed God. But when he declares his intent to claim her, what's a woman to do in the face of such intense focus? She can't possibly let this man who doesn't want, or feel, love, into her own heart, can she?

I'm going to come right out and say I wasn't too sure of Athanasios for about 90% of this story. His inability to feel deeply bothered me, as well as Brooklyn. Thank God for her, because she was the catalyst for his redemption, for finally allowing his heart to feel. She had been through so much, then when she woke up, she had this force, for lack of a better term, focused solely on her. Wow! I give her so many kudos for how she handled it, handled herself, handled Athanasios. Dominant men can be too much at times, and Athanasios was at once, too much, and not enough, for me. But I ended up liking his story, because of Brooklyn. She's the warmth to his ice, the heart to his morally gray. Their chemistry is hot, and in the end, they finally got on the same page and admitted how they really felt. I know William and Taylor's story is coming next and I'm excited to read as the next God gets brought to his knees by love.

You TV series

Wow, hubby and I watched You on Lifetime last night. It was creepy and suspenseful. Hubby likened it to Dexter , and I have to agree. Penn Badgley was on point - creepy, stalkery, but fascinating. I didn't think too much of Elizabeth Lail's acting, but I'm not sure if it was just that her character was bland, or if it was truly bad acting. Can't wait for next week!
