Blurb
I should’ve worn underwear that day.

I’d have far less hate mail in my inbox. I’d also still have a job.

But I didn’t wear underwear. And I had a wardrobe malfunction on a livestream.

So now I’m the proud owner of the internet’s most famous… you know.

The good news? I’ve been invited to hide from my sudden infamy at a closed winery with other women who’ve suffered their own five minutes of shame.

The bad news? The winery has a live-in handyman.

A competent, compassionate, patient, sexy, single dad handyman.

Whom I met when I punched him in the face.

Accidentally, of course. But I still get why he’s happy keeping his distance from me.

But when we find out the winery that’s saving my life is in danger of foreclosure, he and I become accidental partners.

No big deal, working with a guy that I’m falling harder for each day.

I’m already the internet’s favorite punching bag. Why not add an unrequited crush to my life?

But what if it’s not unrequited after all?

From USA Today and Amazon #1 Bestselling Author Pippa Grant comes a funny, heartwarming, swoony romance perfect for readers who love protective book boyfriends, found sisterhoods, slow burns, epically awkward meet-cutes, and love conquering all.

Content note: This book contains toxic family and references to bullying, suicide, abuse, and the off-page cancer death of the hero’s first wife several years before the story begins.

MY REVIEW

After Cricket goes viral for a horrible reason, she takes off to a place where she hopes she can get away and hide from the public, maybe even heal a little. What she actually ends up finding is home and love, with Heath and his precocious daughter Lavender, and her found family, people who support and heal, rather than mock and bully.

Since Heath and his deceased wife went viral also for a horrible reason, he's been here in this haven for women who've gone viral and need to heal from it. He's been acting as their handyman, just trying to be the best dad he can, with a daughter who's chaos personified, but whom he of course loves beyond reason. Then Cricket lands at their commune, and he's been reeling since he accidentally walked into her life. He's falling for her, even if he can't quite bring himself to tell her.

Pippa always bring the laughs and the heart, but I think Cricket and Heath are another level of heart. Their backstories are painful, and so timely - haven't we all seen the viral videos that we know had to hurt? I felt so much for both Heath and Cricket, but they found not only love and healing with each other, they found a true family on the commune, with women who had their own stories of pain and healing. Lavender brings the chaos and the charm, and all the women who welcomed them with open arms bring the support. I love their story, the warmth, the humor, and the love. Now I'm very impatiently waiting for the next story in this new series.

Review: Waiting for You by Kate McBrien

Review of Waiting for You by Kate McBrien Justin and Lucy are apart, but for how long? Lucy's staying with her parents, but knows she needs to get out and start living her life again. But when she gets a chance to go to London, it just may be her chance to reunite with the man whose soul has been entwined with hers for centuries upon centuries. But first, our two fated lovers will have to not only reunite, but stay together, beat the odds and the people and/or forces who are trying to keep them apart. Waiting for You is a great followup to Discovering You. Justin and Lucy's story is exciting and passionate, and the mystical/fantasy/paranormal aspect just adds another interesting layer to their already wonderful connection. I normally don't read a lot of paranormal/fantasy/sci-fi romance anymore, but I loved it here in Waiting for You. It's subtle, but ever present and as I said, just makes their story all the more intriguing. I can't wait for the conclusio...
