Review of Cards of Love: Queen of Wands by Suzanne Halliday



Micki Davies is a widowed mother of adult twin men who runs a successful shop, Queen of Wands. She's outgoing and vibrant, and it's these qualities that catch David Allyn's eye when he wanders into her shop armed with a Daddy Do list from his daughter. David is a single father of a wonderful daughter, Emily, who's sent her dad off to her favorite store to buy some stuff for her new off-campus house. When a beautiful blonde woman helps him out with his Daddy Do list, he's instantly smitten and just knows his life will never be the same.


I loved Suzanne Halliday's take on love after 40. Not only are Micki and David seriously hot together, they're just so sweet and swoony that I quite simply fell in love with the two of them. The old saying, "the best waits for last" is completely appropriate here as they find that sometimes you just have to wait until you've lived life a little longer before you find your soul mate.
