Review: Bad Reputation by S.L. Scott

Review of Bad Reputation by S.L. Scott

Hutton Everest is gorgeous. Rich. A certified player. Then he took one look at a gorgeous woman in a bar, and fell. Boom. Done for. But, not really, because the gorgeous woman isn't in town permanently. No, she's just having some fun before she has to go because life. Her life is meant to be the kind we all wish for - full of castles and crowns and fairy tale stuff like that. Of course, Hutton doesn't know this, and he falls for her, hard. Can a royal be with a commoner, even a rich commoner? Probably not...unless Hutton and Ally fight for their love. Stand up to her distant parents and fight. Fight for each other and themselves.

Bad Reputation is probably the best thing by S.L. Scott that I've ever read, and I've read a lot of GREAT, EXCELLENT stuff by her. But this? This is even better. It takes the royal romance and turns it on its head in the best possible way. It takes the billionaire romance and turns it on its head, too. Hutton is soooo swoony. He's definitely an Everest. But the best kind of Everest. He's super smart, and when he loves, he loves hard and doesn't mess around, even though what he and Ally had started out as just some fun. And Ally? Ooooh, she's amazing! Talk about a heroine for the ages. She's what all heroines (royals and otherwise) should be - sweet, strong, sassy and head over heels in love with her man. The man she brought to his knees just by being her awesome self. I about cried when they were apart, but thank God the author didn't keep them apart for so long that I was screaming or anything. Seriously though, Bad Reputation now has the title of being my favorite S.L. Scott story. It's sexy, it's emotional, and it's just so damn sweet and swoony that I almost can't stand it. Kudos Suzie on this sweet, sexy fairy tale!

Review: Waiting for You by Kate McBrien

Review of Waiting for You by Kate McBrien Justin and Lucy are apart, but for how long? Lucy's staying with her parents, but knows she needs to get out and start living her life again. But when she gets a chance to go to London, it just may be her chance to reunite with the man whose soul has been entwined with hers for centuries upon centuries. But first, our two fated lovers will have to not only reunite, but stay together, beat the odds and the people and/or forces who are trying to keep them apart. Waiting for You is a great followup to Discovering You. Justin and Lucy's story is exciting and passionate, and the mystical/fantasy/paranormal aspect just adds another interesting layer to their already wonderful connection. I normally don't read a lot of paranormal/fantasy/sci-fi romance anymore, but I loved it here in Waiting for You. It's subtle, but ever present and as I said, just makes their story all the more intriguing. I can't wait for the conclusio...
