Review of Dirty Rich One Night Stand: Two Years Later (Cat & Reese Book 2) by Lisa Renee Jones
Cat and Reese are happily together in the beginning of the Two Years Later. Reese has just taken on a new case and Cat's column is going strong. Then she finds something out that will change their entire lives. Should she tell him now? Or wait until his birthday? Until his newest trial comes to and end? The timing is crucial, because it could affect Reese's in-court performance, and the last thing Cat wants to do is possibly affect Reese's career.
But that's not all, because Reese's past comes back to bite him in the ass, and he's worried about the affect it's having on his woman. His woman whom he loves more than ever. He knows something's up with her, he's just not sure if it's his past that's now in his present, or if it's something else entirely. Whatever it is, he means to protect her from everything that could possibly endanger her. Walker Security to the rescue! And Cat's brothers make an appearance (yasss!!!) and stir things up emotionally for Cat. She's not sure of their appearance in her life, especially right now. And they're behaving in unfamiliar ways. Hmm...
I loved seeing Cat and Reese so solid together, so happy. Of course the author could not leave them alone, though, because the second part of their story is drama upon drama. Not so much in an angsty way, but in a stressful way for our happy couple. But, as a testament to the strength of their union, they make it through to the end, even happier than before, still so much in love. I am not sure if there's more to come from this couple that started off the Dirty series, but I sure hope so because I can sense they have a lot more to say and do.
