STORY OF US

Sophia's life has taken a downward spiral, so she's ended up back in her hometown, looking for a job before she has to tell her controlling, over-expectant family that she's back with her tail between her legs. She knows her brother's best friend, Declan, is looking for a manager for his pub, On Dec, so she figures he's the perfect person to help her out with the employment issue. She never expects she'll end up with far more than just a job with Declan.


Declan knows his best friend's little sister is off-limits. And as his newest employee, she's beyond off-limits. So why is he finding himself unable to keep his eyes (and hands) off her? He's tired of ons's and hookups, he wants to settle down. And Sophie's looking more and more like the woman he wants to have that with. But Declan still hasn't figured out how to care for and protect Sophie without taking away her choices, without taking away her right to live her life as the adult she is. If he can figure out the distinction between the two, they just might stand a chance.


Story of Us is truly a complete story. It's got it all - falling in love, family drama, and the character development is absolutely ON POINT! That is actually my favorite part of this heartwarming, wonderful story - how Declan and Sophie mature and grow throughout the relatively short timeline. If this is the quality of Jody Holford's writing, I might just have to do some more downloading onto my Kindle tonight!
