Review: Pain & Redemption (Blood and Iron Warriors Book 2) by Kat Kenyon

Review of Pain & Redemption (Blood and Iron Warriors Book 2) by Kat Kenyon

Tyler fucked up big time in Chaos and Love, so when Pain and Redemption picks up, he's beating himself up over it. He knows he broke Rayne's poor heart, and his heart isn't doing any better. But, can he fix it? Will Rayne give him a second chance? Does he deserve a second chance?

Seriously, so much happens in Pain and Redemption that my head was spinning, but in a good way. Rayne and Tyler fought their way back to something beautiful, only for things to go horribly wrong at the end. I wanted to throw my Kindle across the room when it ended, I was that pissed. These two have gone through so much and I was really hoping they'd get their happily ever after at the end of this installment. But noooo...Kat Kenyon had to prolong my agony and give me a preview of the next installment, Lies and Devotion. ARGH!!! I am not sure I can wait however long it takes for the next (hopefully final) installment to release.

I loved reading Tyler and Rayne's journey. It's filled with so much pain (hence the title) and character and relationship growth. And so much love. The way these two fought their way back to each other makes for one hell of a readable story! Now if only the next part would release, NOW!

Review: One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti

Review of One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti ONE LITTLE LIE Hollis is a good girl with a crush on a broody musician. Unfortunately, that boy, Adam, hates her. Why? Because the chip on his shoulder leaves him thinking good girl, rich girl Hollis is a lemming like everyone else in their small town. Which makes it even more unfortunate when years after their high school encounter, Hollis' best friend tries to stick up for her and ends up telling her parents that Adam is the the boyfriend Hollis doesn't actually have. Oops. How will Hollis ever convince Adam to go along with her little lie? I really liked One Little Lie. Hollis is a really naive girl, but she has such a huge heart that I couldn't help but fall in love with her spirit. She's so sweet, so compassionate, the kind of person this world needs more of. Adam, on the other hand, eh, he didn't do much for me. His chip on the shoulder, broody asshole attitude did nothing to endear me to him, but because H...
