Review of Promise Me by Samanthe Beck & Robin Bielman

PROMISE ME

When Kendall prevents Vaughn, her aunt's next door neighbor, from getting behind the wheel of his vehicle while he's more than a little intoxicated, it sparks something between the two that neither ever saw coming. She tries to keep it casual, as she's only bunking at her aunt's for the summer, AND she has walls around her heart thanks a past she doesn't want exposed, but Vaughn soon wants more. More of everything with the woman who so fascinates and attracts him with her loving heart.

I cannot wax poetic hard enough about Promise Me to do it justice. It's just such a beautiful story and Kendall and Vaughn are so much more than I expected. To be honest, I expected something sweet and fluffy; what I got may be sweet but it's definitely not fluffy. It's heartbreaking in parts, especially when Kendall's past comes to light, but the way it plays out got me right in the heart. It's been a few days since I finished reading but I still remember this story with my heart in my eyes, not to mention more than a few tears, and I still love Vaughn and Kendall, especially Kendall. I love how much she developed over the course of the story, from her past til the present, and I love, love, love how much Vaughn feels for her, sees her beautiful soul. Speaking of Vaughn...that man is swoony af! Can I have my own Vaughn?!? I will reiterate once more just how much I love Promise Me and how you really, really need to get your own copy today!

Review: Waiting for You by Kate McBrien

Review of Waiting for You by Kate McBrien Justin and Lucy are apart, but for how long? Lucy's staying with her parents, but knows she needs to get out and start living her life again. But when she gets a chance to go to London, it just may be her chance to reunite with the man whose soul has been entwined with hers for centuries upon centuries. But first, our two fated lovers will have to not only reunite, but stay together, beat the odds and the people and/or forces who are trying to keep them apart. Waiting for You is a great followup to Discovering You. Justin and Lucy's story is exciting and passionate, and the mystical/fantasy/paranormal aspect just adds another interesting layer to their already wonderful connection. I normally don't read a lot of paranormal/fantasy/sci-fi romance anymore, but I loved it here in Waiting for You. It's subtle, but ever present and as I said, just makes their story all the more intriguing. I can't wait for the conclusio...
