Review of Groom (Deceit Duet Book 2) by Logan Chance
Gabriel Prince is falling for his bride. But he doesn't want to admit it. After all, that wasn't the deal. The deal was that he'd marry Clementine and keep his bazillions, per his grandfather's plotting from beyond the grave. Nowhere did it say anything about FEELINGS, honest to God feelings. But they're there, and don't seem to be going anywhere. What's a Prince to do when he's falling for his fake bride?
But there is much more going on in Groom than just Gabriel's (and Clementine's) feelings. There are so many secrets swirling around this couple. Things unknown to both of them. Things unknown to only one of them. Things unknown to the reader. And there are outside forces that are less than benevolent, forces that wish serious harm upon them. The suspense and the intrigue were amped up in Groom, and it only made me fall harder for them as they fought to keep their hearts intact, and fought to stay together. I've loved everything of Logan Chance's that I've ever read, and I thought perhaps Bride was my favorite, but Groom outdid even Bride because Gabriel and Clementine finally came together and realized their feelings. Add in all the suspense and intrigue, all the dark secrets (and one huge twist!!), and the serious chemistry and what you come up with is Logan's best writing yet. Gabriel and Clementine are now my favorite Logan couple and Groom is my favorite Logan story!
