Review: Invincible (Elite Doms of Washington Book 6) by Elizabeth SaFleur

INVINCIBLE

Alexander is definitely a Dom, and he's always presented an unflappable facade to those he surrounds himself with. But here in his own story, wow, we learn just how much pain he has secreted deep (and not so deep) inside, where it comes from, and why he is the man he is today. In the prologue, which is heartbreaking, we're shown his first loves and first heartbreak. In the present, he's about to go fulfill a promise he made all those years ago. He just has no idea that a second chance, a new chance, and healing lie ahead of him, if he allows himself to accept those things, if he doesn't allow vengeance to take over his life.

Wow...this is a beautiful, albeit heartbreaking story. I love how much Alexander develops as a character, how he finally allows himself love, and healing, and a chance to finally be happy. I admit to shedding a few tears, but they were good tears because in the end, Alexander, Rebecca, and Eric achieve the happy ever after they all deserve so much, especially Alexander. I'm swooning and smiling just thinking about it now. I've heard this is the end of the Elite Doms of Washington series, and if so, this was definitely the perfect, and the best of the series, story to conclude with.

Review: Waiting for You by Kate McBrien

Review of Waiting for You by Kate McBrien Justin and Lucy are apart, but for how long? Lucy's staying with her parents, but knows she needs to get out and start living her life again. But when she gets a chance to go to London, it just may be her chance to reunite with the man whose soul has been entwined with hers for centuries upon centuries. But first, our two fated lovers will have to not only reunite, but stay together, beat the odds and the people and/or forces who are trying to keep them apart. Waiting for You is a great followup to Discovering You. Justin and Lucy's story is exciting and passionate, and the mystical/fantasy/paranormal aspect just adds another interesting layer to their already wonderful connection. I normally don't read a lot of paranormal/fantasy/sci-fi romance anymore, but I loved it here in Waiting for You. It's subtle, but ever present and as I said, just makes their story all the more intriguing. I can't wait for the conclusio...
