CONSUMED

Shawnie (Shaw) & Josh were young and in love. Promises for a future were made and everything looked beautiful in that way that only young love can. Then they were torn apart when Josh left to join the Navy SEALs. Now years later he's back when the man he had thought was his uncle summons him. Turns out Teddy's actually his father. Talk about a revelation. But that's not all Teddy has to tell him. Teddy has it in his mind that he's going to get Josh and Shaw back together, as she's the attorney he's requested to settle his estate before he passes. Yep, he's dying, too. Damn...

Josh has got a lot of work to do if he wants Shaw back, though, because she's got a vault around the heart he broke all those years ago. Oh, and Josh's previously unknown half-brother is around, and verrrry unhappy that he's been left out of the will. He's just another piece of the puzzle, though, as Josh and Shaw soon find out. Can they navigate the obstacles ahead of them and make their way back to each other or will it all be just too much for their re-established relationship to withstand?

Consumed is another fast paced romantic suspense in the Dare to Risk series. I like it even more than the other one in the series that I've read - Deceived. Josh and Shaw are a compelling couple and I loved seeing them get their second chance at love. Can't wait for more from this author and this series!

Review: Waiting for You by Kate McBrien

Review of Waiting for You by Kate McBrien Justin and Lucy are apart, but for how long? Lucy's staying with her parents, but knows she needs to get out and start living her life again. But when she gets a chance to go to London, it just may be her chance to reunite with the man whose soul has been entwined with hers for centuries upon centuries. But first, our two fated lovers will have to not only reunite, but stay together, beat the odds and the people and/or forces who are trying to keep them apart. Waiting for You is a great followup to Discovering You. Justin and Lucy's story is exciting and passionate, and the mystical/fantasy/paranormal aspect just adds another interesting layer to their already wonderful connection. I normally don't read a lot of paranormal/fantasy/sci-fi romance anymore, but I loved it here in Waiting for You. It's subtle, but ever present and as I said, just makes their story all the more intriguing. I can't wait for the conclusio...
